The Sjobergs Elite 2000 was better than I expected. It is very heavy and the SM04 Cabinet provides additional weight. My only complaint was with the scant assembly instructions. otherwise couldn't be more pleased.

Amazing workbench

The workbench itself is great. The top is super heavy (which is a good thing). I need to use my tractor with pallet forks and some straps to lift it in place. No way my wife and I could just lifted it where it needed to be on our own. The assembly directions were fine and simple for the workbench. The assembly instructions for the cabinet were awful. Its mainly pictorial which makes you think its super easy, but some parts have extra holes drilled and figuring out what to do where was harder than it needed to be. In the end the cabinet is great, very high quality wood. Its rock solid and the vices work great. I got an extra set of cork pads for the other vice because the accessory kit only covers one of the vices.

Sjobergs Elite 2000 Professional Workbench + Cabinet + Accessory Kit

Purchased my Sjobergs Elite 2000 workbench from US Tool and Fastener as a personal Christmas present in December 2020; they had the best price on the Internet. The Elite 2000 usually goes on sale during the Holiday season, so that's probably the best time to buy this model. I'm very happy with the build quality, look and functionality of the bench, vices and cabinets. The benchtop is extremely heavy, and it's definitely a two-man job to set it in-place after building the base. The vices are buttery soft to turn and when you lock your project in--it stays locked in. My only complaint--and it's a small one--the build quality of the SM04 cabinet is not as sturdy as the other parts of the workbench, but it is more than adequate for storage. The sides of the large drawers should have been deeper. It doesn't make much sense to have a large drawer front, but only bring the sides and back halfway up the full length of the compartment. Don't let the shortcomings of the cabinet scare you away from the the Elite 2000 package deal (workbench + cabinet + accessory kit); it's a great deal if you get it on sale. Before purchasing this bench, I seriously thought about building a heavy duty bench with all the bells and whistles--something similar to the Elite 2000, but I'm glad I didn't. It probably would have cost more to purchase the hardwood, vices and slab flattening equipment than the sale price I paid for the Elite 2000. If you can't already tell, I highly recommend the Elite 2000 workbench--the cabinet and accessory kit are good bonus items.

Workbench

It came well packaged on a pallet with three boxes. Everything was well done and it was delivered into my garage which was nice. Everything on the bench was accurately machined and amazingly they shipped exactly the right number of fasteners. There wasn’t one fastener left over out of the four packages of screws and fasteners. It’s a good thing that I didn’t loose any. Using an impact driver to put the cabinet together made things a lot easier.

Back order, re order of Sjobergs bench.

Real Quality!

Wow!! what a workbench. I have had mine for about two years and use it all the time. The construction of this bench is unbelievable in the way it goes together, the different ways you can clamp and the way it looks. Plan on taking an afternoon to put it together and get a friend as the top is heavy. I set it up on a base because I'm 6'5" and built a drawer between the two legs for large pieces of equipment and built a drawer on the end for a filing cabinet for manuals.
