Horrible Product

I just put this cabinet together and the only thing I like about it is the color is nice and the handles are decent. Everything else is a nightmare. First there are chips and dings in the wood right out of the box. Installation was a pain trying to match all the holes to the studs. There is no nice backing except two pieces of wood to hold it on the wall. Then once it was up I put the doors on and they don't even fit! They leave a huge gap in between the doors and there is no way to adjust the hinges that much. Now I need to either contact them to deal with this or somehow get it off my wall to return it! I dislike it! It brought way too much frustration!

Sturdy large armoire… very heavy

This package was left in my car port a flight of steps away from home address. It weighed over 100 lbs, fed ex did a horrible job and left the burden on me to carry to my home. Outside of horrible delivery problem, armoire was well made with a few scratches. There is no numbers to help identify parts so you have to figure out what part is what. Took under 2 hours to put together. Great piece of furniture, but worse delivery job ever and disorganized directions.

The unit itself was fine for what I need. I purchased it for its size, not for its described purpose. I was extremely (!!) disappointed that this unit was described as a "modular" unit, and yet NO other modules were available. What's the point of advertising it as modular if you can't expand it? Makes no sense.

This was the perfect addition to the master closet for our mountain home rental property. We wanted to provide a lockable owner’s closet to keep clothes and shoes for when we are in residence. In fact, we liked the quality and size so well, we ordered more for our other bedroom closets. It fit perfectly under the rod and shelf above, so it required no extra construction and it was easy to put together. Love ❤️ it! Would give it a 5 star rating.

I was really excited to receive this product. I followed the directions and even watched a video to make sure that I built it properly. I realized that I had received two right wardrobe sides. I had to drill corresponding holes to make sure that I could finish building the wardrobe. I also noticed that one of the wardrobe sides had a crack straight across. I've always been satisfied with my previous purchases but I was definitely disappointed.

For almost 300 bucks you could at least label the parts, that's not hard or too much to ask! It didn't my partner long to figure it out, but we shouldn't have had to. It looks nice enough, it isn't the answer to my space and storage issue though. If you're not handy I wouldn't buy it unassembled and assembled it's probably not worth the price. I remember the days when for 200 bucks plus you got real wood, not pressed wood but that's my age I guess. If you need something sturdy, and durable it's gonna cost you a lot more I guess. This was my first Mayfair order, I don't know if I'd do it again? I'm going to stain the dowel and get metal brackets, for the cost it should have been included but Oh well.

The wardrobe is really nice if you can assemble correctly. But the parts were not labeled and was confusing at first. We were able to put it together. However, the back part which is a very thin board is really hard to nail with the frame because it’s exactly the same size as the frame. You can’t nail it on the frame easily. I had to lay it flat on the floor and had my sister hold it from inside. If this was half an inch bigger on both sides it would have been much easier, and that’s why I’m giving it 4 starts. I feel like they want to save money by making it smaller which is not very efficient for the customers. You would need special tools to put it together.

I like the wardrobe, and it was easily the best price for something of this size that I could find. Id give it about 3.5 stars if I could, but Ill round it down to 3 because there were a lot of little annoying issues with it. The black finish is just so-so in quality there are some spots on the doors that look like the paint didnt adhere fully. My hardware bag was missing a handful of the tiny nails used to attach the back panel, and also missing a few of the black plugs used to cover the exposed screw heads. The bag appeared to have ripped, so I assume those small pieces fell out in transit. It wasnt a big deal because I still had enough of the nails to hold the back panel just fine, and the couple screws without plugs were on the side thats against a wall, so its not visible. If they were visible, it would bug me more. The package was extremely heavy and difficult to move inside, so definitely prepare accordingly for that. I was very happy with how easy the assembly was and how sturdy the piece feels once assembled. Plenty of extra storage space for coats and shoes. Its not that tall, so we have a basket of things on top as well, but I also saw that they sell a small corresponding upper cabinet that can be installed on top. The doors are nice and solid, but the hinges are not easy to adjust, so I had to fight with it to get the doors straight and they still dont quite look level. The doors also slam shut if you arent gentle, so I will probably add a few rubber stoppers to soften that. Overall, I was not expecting a super high-end product, so I am satisfied, but it is just good and not great.

This was a disappointing purchase. For starters, there were scuff marks and scratches on most of the pieces. There was also some wood glue that I had trouble getting off, and it left behind a visibly noticeable spot in one area and a line that was on the outside of one of the side pieces that ran the entire length of it.

If I could rate this order at 0, I would. After struggling to get this out of my driveway where it was left by Fed Ex and down to my basement, I was appalled at the condition of the product inside the box. Each section of this unit arrived with very noticeable scratches, scrapes, and one corner of what should be the side of the wardrobe had defects resembling that of something gnawed by an animal. The appearance of this product was that of something left on the sidewalk for trash pickup. I felt like it was returned then repackaged without being checked by anyone. I

Shipping was very quick, and it is a good value for the price. It goes together pretty logically, which is good because as others mentioned, the instructions are non-existent. There is one diagram of how the main cabinet goes together, and none of the pieces are labeled. Luckily if you have put together a lot of flat-pack furniture, it is pretty standard. No complicated 'hidden cams', which I personally appreciate, but if you prefer hidden hardware, this is not the cabinet for you. It comes with plastic caps to go on top of the visible screw heads. As others mentioned, there were several corner scuffs and dents. Nothing major, but visible. Overall it is quite sturdy and will work for my purposes.
