I love this pump. I use it while driving, meeting up with friends, walking my dog and breastfeeding my little one. The charge lasts awhile and the suction is very strong. Overall totally worth the purchase. I do wish it came with different size nipple parts. Make sure you size before ordering.
Such a pain to use
Putting the pump back together after cleaning it is incredibly annoying because of the removal rubber. Many times, the pump wouldn't work because of this issue too. I wouldn't use this product with my next baby.
Works okay
Worked really great for about 2 weeks. Started leaking after 2 weeks of use. Bought replacement parts and those worked for a couple more weeks and product started leaking again. Switched to another pump since buying parts every few weeks is getting expensive. Really like the product overall just wish it didn’t leak.
Do NOT buy
I can’t explain how much I DO NOT recommend this pump. I give up. I spend hundreds of dollars on it and I keep losing milk. I can’t even in good conscience try to sell it online to recoup my investment. The cups don’t stay sealed and you will lose milk. They pop right open. All. The. Time. It’s not you, like their customer service will try to tell you. It’s their product. Don’t buy it!!!!! And there’s only a 90 day warranty. I didn’t start pumping until my newborn was 4 weeks old and I bought this well before he was born, so there goes my warranty time. Horrible.
Excellent quality
It's the best pump I've used. Better than my wearable Elvie. So easy to clean and always great suction.
Okay but not great
This pump works okay for me. It empty’s me, but I’ve only used it for one month, & the suction of the cups no longer suction, if the cords are not attached. I am having to buy another pump because of this
Super convenient!
I absolutely love my elvie stride. I can do whatever I need to while using it and am not stuck to the couch! So convenient!
Handy pump if you don't want to waste time.
Great pump on the whole.
Poor customer service and the app is disappointing
Product is useful but severely let down by the customer service and the app.
Save your money
Can’t get output anywhere near what other pumps can! Very expensive paperweight. Also a pain to clean. Can’t return.
Wanted to love, but needs improvement.
I bought this hoping it would help me maintain my pumping schedule when my partner started work again, but I have to pump twice as long as with my wall pump and I still get about 25% less milk. I noticed even using it once a day hurt my supply and I’ve worked hard for the little bit of milk I do make! I also had some nipple damage after using it the most recent time. I was using an appropriate flange size, and I’ve tried playing with the suction but it’s just been really hard to figure out how to get it to work for me. I like that it does little pauses in the sucking like a baby would, and it’s more comfortable than my wall pump provided I can get my nipple centered properly. Unfortunately though they’ve made it easy to center the nipple from the top, it’s nearly impossible to make sure it’s centered from the side, which I think it how my nipple got damaged. I also wish there was a way to set it to automatically shut off after a certain amount of time. Or program in longer pauses. But most of all I wish I could rely on it to produce the amount of milk I need. I found I needed to start on lower suction and work my way up gradually to even get that 75% milk production. There was one time I was able to get the expected amount in the expected amount of time but I haven’t been able to replicate it. Since the app asks for info on how the pump went, it would also be great to be able to go back and see what settings were used so it’s possible to recreate that experience when it goes well. And even better if you could turn those settings into a preset so you can easily reuse a pattern for a future session. Finally (and I don’t know why pumps don’t do this as a rule) setting the pump to ease in when you change suction levels would help so much! I can achieve this by kinking the tubes and slowly releasing them but it would be amazing if the pump just did it on its own.
Phenomenal!!
I’m so in love with this pump. It’s made my breastfeeding journey so much easier. It’s so comfortable and convenient.it made returning to work so much easier! Thank you Elvie
Costly & Less Production
I like the flexibility but I get less than half of the production I get from my Sectra pump. Even if I stay on nearly double the time. And I find the cost to be excessive.
Unreliable pump: fustration after frustration.
I'm so disappointed with this purchase. My Elvie pump worked well for just a few months, then became wholly unreliable. I now use my cheap $20 manual pump regularly and am on the hunt for a new pump system to replace my Elvie pump. I have had continuous problems with the washable pieces AND the battery/hub.
Average pump
I love this pump when it works. It has great suction it's very easy to do daily tasks around the house and even at work. However the connect kits crack so easily from using higher suction and need replaced. The cost of replacing connect kits adds up and may be worth a cordless pump
It Does Everything the Willow Was Supposed To Do!
Amazing! I purchased a Willow pump a long while back and was completely disappointed. The Elvie does everything you'd want a portable, hamds-free pump to do! It's probably the quietest pump there is. Super quiet for any environment, although it is audible if you're in a silent setting. As far as being visibly discreet, nope! Sorry, it makes you look bigger and sagging hate to say, lol! You'd probably want to have a cardigan or sweater to wear over your shirt to make you feel less visible. Other than that, it works great! It was very quick and easy for me to learn and master how to use. The user's guide on the Elvie app is a life-saver! Highly recommend using the app for first time set up and use.
Works great
Great customer service, sent me a new part immediately when it was damaged. Overall this works well! Definitely have to make sure they are properly placed as there has been a time or two where one side hasn’t gotten any milk. Lots of parts but I hear there are less than some other hands free brands.
Love being on the go and pumping!
I love having the flexibility of pumping on the go. However, I don't pump as much with this as I do with my Spectra which is a bit disappointing.
Great concept but needs improvement
It’s great when it works. I’ve had to order replacement connector parts twice. Wishing just two weeks of using it. I’m told the problem of milk getting in the hose is due to either incorrect assembly or a defect. I’m confident I’m setting it up correctly and if I am not then this should be improved because it must be extremely difficult to miss. Replacements arrive 5+ business days later which is a problem if using this as main source for pumping. I’m I also would love if there was a sensor to stop pumping if you fill the bottle/cup with milk. It has overflown on me once.
Sad
Not enough suction or power. The seals have failed many times causing leaks. I’ve had them pop open after pumping and lose all my milk. I’ve looked into replacing valves or seals but it’s so expensive. It’s heartbreaking to pump for 40 min and then loose all the milk and also have to clean everything up ontop of a screaming child you can’t feed now. Extremely sad.
