This completes my EH collection of rectangular baking dishes.

First I purchased the Large Rectangular Baker, then the Square and this Medium Baker, each one in a different color. They are really great--they cook well, the clean up is so easy, and they look beautiful on the table. I store them nested with a kitchen dish towel between each to prevent scratching. Both the Square and this Medium fit in my Breville Toaster Oven when I don't want to turn on my big oven. I own 9 pieces of Emile Henry and have never had one break.

Won’t buy again

I bought the blue rectangular large baking dish in 2019. It looked nice and I believed quality in made in France and 10 year warranty. I probably used it on average once a couple months, either baking cakes or roasting savory dishes. Last week, it cracked completely into 2 pieces in the oven while roasting a 4 lb piece of ribeye. Was told no warranty if cooked with no liquid inside. So keep it in mind. I am though not buying another product from them.

Near perfect lasagna pan

Perfect size for lasagna and baked up nicely. The only negative is that I don’t understand the side handle design. I was fearful that I would drop it when removing from the oven with potholders. There is no way to properly grip them so I was forced to hold from underneath.

elegant and durable

I really like the medium bakers because they fit well into my oven. They look elegant and durable at the same time. I will use these for sweet and savory dishes to bake for my family and for get-togethers. Unfortunately, the wrong color was sent. I asked for sugar and got twilight-which is too bad for me. Most of my Emile Henry items are sugar or the ruffled ones with a mix of sugar and clay like the EH brioche pan. My twilight pans have some imperfections like extra clay on the exterior. However, this will not impact the way they bake.

great rectangular baker but wrong dimensions on website

These rectangular bakers look really durable and shiny. I have no doubt they are great quality and would last a long time. However, 1 arrived broken. Also, the dimensions on the website are not correct. The large is about 16 inches in length so unfortunately these do not fit into my oven. I think the website dimensions are for the inside of the pan. If a large rectangular baker is what you are looking for, these are wonderful. If my oven was larger I would love these. But I cannot use them.

Great casserole dish!

I recently bought the medium sized rectangular baker. I've used it twice to bake enchiladas and once to make a veggie lasagne. It's a nice size - a little bigger than the dish I've used in the past. I like having a little more space for lasagne noodles and enchiladas. I have several Emile Henry products and love them all.

Nothng else like it!

This is absolutely the Rolls Royce of ceramic baking dishes. Now, mind you, it IS ceramic, and it WILL break if you cast it roughly upon your marble floor. But it IS sturdy, like all Emile Henry ceramic ware, and will last several lifetimes it it's cared for well.

Does it measure up?

This is a well made, excellent little…little dish. However, beware of the measurements provided. The width is straightforward; at the top edge, outside edge to outside edge it is, indeed, about 5.5”. But the length was, to me, misleading. The stated length of 7.9” is outside edge to edge from the TIPS of the HANDLES. With an already small dish this becomes relevant when the cooking part of the dish is only about 6” in length at the top edge. In short….this thing is short.

Quality Disappointment

I received my dish and it had a pore hole in the glaze in the interior of the dish. After 3 attempts contacting EH I did reach an EH associate and they looked at the picture I had sent and said they would replace the dish. The dish arrived within days. The replacement dish was not in a box as usual and though the interior baking surface is defect free the exterior has a couple of visual flaws that are disappointing. I believe I received a second or a return (probably due to visual flaws). I can bake with it, but am uncertain I will make more EH purchases. I have 5 other EH pieces and have gifted 4 to nieces. But this really soured my opinion of EH customer service.
