Replacement for a 25 year old GE electric

Bought this to replace my old electric GE top. Nice looking top and easy to install. Just need to remember when lighting to hold the knob down 2 or 3 seconds so the thermocouple has time to respond. Cooks great, looks great, price was $222 out the door with free shipping.

the numbers on the dial rub off after 3 uses.so how do you know what timer to set..I cannot use the oven at all.i have lopus so friends of mine remodel my kitchen because I can't reach but so high.. they're really amazed how cheap this product was..you get what you pay for right.so now I have to buy a different oven...and I work for Lowe's..will write report to our CEO to to sell this item ...

Fit our needs. Easy enough for husband and wife team to do in an evening. Need 3/8inx1/2 in threaded coupling to allow a LP tank regulator to fit. Need patience to a little dismantling of the unit to change the center nozzle from natural gas to LP. Retrofit my unit to be used as an outdoor kitchen. All burners work great and adjustable. Center burner only lowers flame to a certain point. Not a problem we have four more burners to use at different levels. Definitely recommend for someone handy. If you’re not get it installed by a professional or watch some YouTube videos.

Other than having to drill a hole for the electrical cord and getting a different size adapter for the gas connector, it went really well installing it. I love having 5 working burners, each a different size.

Specs are INCORRECT

I purchased this cooktop based on the inexpensive price and dimensions. Unfortunately, the cut-out dimensions DO NOT fit in a regular pre-existing space. The measurement from R to L is fairly consistent but the measurement from top to bottom is only 18.25 inches with the cooktop itself barely measuring 20 inches. This will require a trim kit if going into an existing opening. Not worth the trouble - returned it and spent the extra money on a cooktop with correct “normal” cutout dimensions.

Cooktop Functionality

We purchased this stovetop during a kitchen remodel. Overall, the price was great and the 5-burner system is operational and functional. The unit was easy to install (by a pro). We like the functionality and ease to clean the top when needed. Lots of pros vs only a few cons. We are still learning how to ignite the burners in one try rather than several. The burners run hot so it's difficult to get lower than the lowest setting on the burners, especially the center one. While it does burn hot, it seems to take the same amount of time to boil water as our last stovetop but it seems a little louder when operating. Other than that, we love it!

Empava was great! Not afraid to order larger items.

Product came with damage to one of the grills which we had already installed unit. Was able to contact Empava through emails and was replaced easily. Stovetop works great. Love the five burners. Empava was great to work with!

Nice cook top

This cook top arrived very quickly. Hard to get these through any big store. Always on backorder. So nice to get it quickly from Empava. And the price was less as well. The cook top was in great condition and fits nicely where our old one was located. Seems to work just fine.
