Broke right away, non-equivalent replacement .

We bought a long slot four slice toaster around Christmas. Less than a month after starting to use it, it broke. KitchenAid supposedly has a no hassle return policy. Except. When we contacted them, they told us the toaster we bought had been discontinued. They said they would send us a replacement, and that’s the last we heard for three months. We contacted them again. They said it would be sent out in a week or two. Once again nothing. We contacted them again, and they told us that it wasn’t available and they their only offer was to send us a long slot 2 slice toaster. We specifically wanted a long slot toaster for four slices. A toaster with a single slot was not acceptable to us, or useful at all. My husband said so, and the customer support hung up on us and lo and behold a month later a useless two slice, single slot toaster showed up. So my husband ended up finding a repair shop, and spending $90 to fix an $80 toaster. And we set the useless one slot toaster back. Would not buy from KitchenAid again. No hassle return policy? Don’t believe it.

[Rewarded Review] Great Buy!

The wide entry and sleek design was the reason for my purchase. Able to toast all types of breads (toast, bagels, waffles, etc) side by side instead of the traditional way toasters are made. Plus is there any better brand than a KitchenAid! Rated 4 stars because my issue is not being able to get all of the toaster crumbs out easily that don't fall into the removable crumb catcher.

[Rewarded Review] It’s okay

Not as much “toasting power” as we’d like. Even with the lever on highest setting, it’s slow & takes 2 cycles.

[Rewarded Review] Love My KitchenAid Toaster!

Bought the toaster about a month ago and have been really happy with it. Even toasting and like the longer style - accommodates those larger pieces of bread. Love my KitchenAid toaster!

[Rewarded Review] Disappointing

This is a replacement for an underperforming toaster I bought on Amazon and unfortunately this one is slightly better than the first. Bought primarily to accommodate longer slices like rye and sourdough, The original basically had one toast level which was slightly crispy and light no matter the setting. This replacement is somewhat better with different levels of color but very uneven. Going to keep it anyway. I can work with it.

[Rewarded Review] Great idea

I like that it toasts long pieces of bread, but it does not cook evenly. Maybe I just got a bad one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So disappointing

Where to begin? The good - I have limited counter space in my kitchen and was attracted to the footprint of this toaster. It does fit well in my kitchen and I really like the look of it. It adds a nice pop of color. That being said, unless you are using sandwich type bread two slices do not fit in this toaster. More important it does not toast well. I have to put the control almost to the maximum to get a moderately toasted piece of bread. This is so disappointing from KitchenAid, a brand I have long trusted. I guess I'll have to look for a replacement.

[Rewarded Review] Consistent Results

The only thing we would change about this toaster is that the brownness adjustment lever is a little too close to the lever that lowers the bread into the toaster. Quite often, when raising the bread to be removed, we accidentally hit the brownness adjustment. Fortunately, it is easy to adjust the brownness back to where we want it. We find that the toasting is very consistent with a nice variety of browning options. It might take a few tries to determine the exact level you want for a particular type of bread, but you can count on it producing the same results every time.

Very good product. The toaster adjustment as to doneness for toasted bread is not as accurate as one might be led to believe..

Close but one the lift feature is lacking

Coming from KitchenAid at $100 for a toaster I expect perfection. I am a huge KitchenAid fan. the toaster is nice but the lift feature is lacking. It does not lift an English muffin, or a waffle high enough to easily grab onto it.

[Rewarded Review] Works great every time

We bought this toaster because all our previous toasters were so inconsistent in toasting bread. This one seems to be the answer we've been looking for. Perfect every time! And we love the color it adds to our kitchen.

[Rewarded Review] Toaster

The toaster heats up slower than my other kitchen aid. Overall the thinness and style work well for small areas.

[Rewarded Review] It took awhile to get use to the features.

What I don't like about it is that the area where it pops up does not pop up high enough. I have to use something to get the muffin, etc out.

Great toaster

Toasts consistently well. Has a variety of settings. Easy to clean. Looks good on the bench. Long slot is great for toasting large continental bread slices.
