Doesn't throw much heat

We hung it under a roof overhanging our patio, about 6 feet above the ground, thinking it might help to warm an area with a circle of chairs spread out about 6 - 8 feet in diameter beneath it. Couldn't feel any benefit unless we stood directly beneath it. Might have been too cold outside or not enclosed enough to retain the heat but doesn't really work for us.

This is one of the best heaters I have a boy works really well in my shed better than some of my other ones have. I would totally buy another one of these again

Disappointed.

I bought this a month ago to heat my patio. I’m very disappointed as even if you are sitting directly beneath it it doesn’t give off much heat. Might be okay in an enclosed garage but not outdoors.

Great Heater for the solarium

We have a solarium in the back of the house. Just purchased this heater from Rona today and installed in 20 minutes. Easy to hook it up with the chain supplied. plug-in to standard outlet and turned it on. You can feel the warmth almost right away.

Great heater

I purchased this a month ago and tried it with just a T-shirt and was cold. That was a bit silly of me. Yesterday October 22, I was outside and used it and with my jacket on and was comfortably warm in fact I completely forgot that it was end of October and was outside at night for about 2 hours!

Does the trick!

We’ve been using this heater on our front porch for the past month and it provides enough heat to take the cool edge off of fall. Will see how the winter goes but adds another sitting area outside! Didn’t think we’d use it as much as we do! So far,so good!

Works as advertised. We used it on Canadian Thanksgiving to heat our covered sundeck so our grown kids could come for dinner but stay socially distant. They said they were quite comfortable.

Saved Thanksgiving

I bought two for my 10x14 deck. They look great and throw a lot of heat. We ate thanksgiving dinner outside at several spaced tables and everyone was warm and comfy. Easy to hang and easy to move around for different seating configurations.

Love it! It's in our gazebo with the winter cover on. It heats up the 10x12 foot space in just a couple mins. I'm sure it will take longer when it gets colder but I still don't feel like it will take long. I love it has a high and low setting

Not enough heat

I bought this in September so we could sit out in the cooler evenings BUT it isn't worth the money. We have it hung in our gazebo over our table and it gives off some heat but only to a radius of 6 feet but not enough to keep you warm. If the temp goes below 60F you might as well turn it off. It gives off a very bright light for reading though.

Good buy...

The product arrived as advertised and is well constructed. It innediately radiates heat when turned on. It gas been the perfect addition to our new gazebo!

extends the outdoor season

very happy with this lamp hanging over our patio table. we have already extended a few evening dinners and lunches as it cools into October. It heats quickly. we needed an extension cord of course and clips to keep the cord above the table.

There are two settings and we tried both. The first not very strong and the second is better but we can tell if there is any wind the heat will not be affective. This is for a gazebo so we expected the power cord to be much longer than it is. The manufacturer recommends NOT using an extension cord but there is no way you can get away with not needing one unless your Gazebo has a plug in it.

We use this heater on our screened in porch primarily for use on cold nights for an outside cat that we rescued. We have had it for a year now and it works great. Our cat loves it and thinks he has moved to a warm climate on those cold nights.

Not a lot of heat

My feelings are mixed about this heater. If you had a couple of them over your patio table it might give off enough heat to keep you warm if there is no wind but if the temperature is anything lower than about 10 degrees Celsius you’re not going get much use from it.

Wonderful!

We bought three of these about a month ago on sale and have had NO regrets. They are hanging above our outdoor eating area. When all twelve of us are having a family get together we just turn them on in the cooler evenings and the party continues! Very easy to install...just hang (swag chain is included), plug in and pull the string to turn on.

Works well but limited range

Bought this a few weeks ago and it has made sitting on the patio on cool spring evenings bearable. Even on the high setting though, there's only so much heat that it can put out from a 15 amp circuit. On windy days, most of the heat was blown away, but that's expected. I ended up hanging it pretty low over the centre of the table so the heat can be felt and just need to figure out an easy way to lift it up higher once the weather warms up. I'm glad we bought it and would do it again (on sale of course ;) ).

Just what we needed

This does what it's supposed to do-take the chill from an area around it, such as a table or set of patio furniture. A little bit bright on the glow side, but actually kind of pleasant if you have low loghting anyway. If you live in the snowbelt i wouldn't have high expectations of much suceess, but it doesn't claim to be a main heating source. Here in Florida, it's perfect for a slightly chilly night (or day). Ordered another to put in the jaccuzzi gazebo-I expect it will be perfect for that also.

We were using a heat lamp with aluminum cover and they just didn't last. This has broader heat, too. We warm up our dog's favorite spot on the patio and have an orthopedic bed there, too, and she lays in that spot during the day time, but comes inside with us at night.

Small patio heater at reasonable price

Bought this heater a few weeks ago and have used a few times. Heats up quickly and takes the chill off our covered porch. The cord should be longer. We needed to add an extension to reach plug. Would be nice if the cord was grey to match silver aluminum of the heater. The black cord stands out as it travels across the ceiling and down the wall. Trying to figure out a way to make it less conspicuous.
