Solid and Smooth!

This Sit-Stand Desk Converter come pre-assembled and feels very solid and secure. Even with several monitors and a laptop it feels very stable. Changing heights is easy and smooth and requires little effort thanks to the hydrolics. Fits most desk surfaces and the rubber feet keep it in perfectly in place. My kids even use it on the floor without a desk when they use their laptops or draw while watching TV. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Perfect!

This has an elegant, sturdy design and is big enough to fit multiple monitors and my laptop all on the surface. Once you get some gear setup it's incredibly easy to move and down manually and the locking mechanism locks tight with no play in the system. The combination of the weight of the unit and the rubberized feet make it very sturdy and I have no fear of this moving on its own. The keyboard tray could be a little bigger but it does allow enough room for a keyboard and mouse together. It also has a convenient hole in the top for cable management which is important for a desk that is moving up and down. By far the best thing about this though was that there was zero assembly required. It ships as a fully assembled unit.

This is the sit-stand solution I have been waiting for. No complicated setup or install, just a nice big work surface that I can put any height I want, anywhere I want! Like I mentioned, it arrives fully assembled in a very big box (I recommend 2 people to unpack it) so set-up takes virtually no time at all. Cable management is easy with a hole at the back of the work-surface, which can also be used to mount a pole for monitor stands. The motion of the assembly is smooth and even, and the entire assembly is SUPER stable. Even with 2 monitors (I used 22 inch) this Stand just took it in stride.

This sit and stand desk comes out of the box ready to use. It only has one lever that allows a smooth up and down motion. It makes it easy to adjust to the perfect height.

I really like the idea of this product. Take your existing desk and add this to the top and voila instant sit stand......well as long as your desktop is large enough and no obstructions around.

Want to get healthy? Stand instead of sitting at your desk. I love this product. It comes out of the box with no assembly required. It is very sturdy, looks professional and the one lever action to change it from a sit to a stand option is simple to use. The only thing I would warn you about is that there is a 28lb table top weight limit on this device so since I use dual monitors I had to order the StarTech ARMDual monitor stand to reduce my weight load within limits so that it would work correctly

You couldn't ask for more with this sit-stand desk addition. It is quality built with a non-slip surface both on the top and on the feet that grip to the desk so there is no worries about things falling off the stand or the stand falling off the desk. The locking mechanism is solid and easy to use and moving the stand up and down is incredibly light-weight and easy. I was able to put my two monitors on this stand and still have room for paperwork.

Strong, sturdy, and working very well for the 4 months I've had it. Easily lifts up and down. Doesn't wobble. Assembly was straightforward. I recommended it to all the people at our office, many of whom prefer to stand at their desks for at least half the day. Its range is large enough to accommodate me ergonomically (eyes ? of the way down the monitor) while I'm sitting or standing (I'm 5'10"), and I don't even raise it up all the way when I stand. It might work well for someone who is up to 6'4". I ended up leaving the wrist rest off, because it's not actually good for your wrists to have them rested there. I also just wanted a little bit of extra room on the keyboard area. A divided, ergonomic keyboard and a mouse take up pretty much all of the space on the keyboard area. If there's any con at all, it's that this has a fairly large footprint on the surface of my desk, while not providing much of a surface for setting things down. I use a laptop with an external monitor, and that takes up most of the room on the top. As I said already, the keyboard area is full, too. And you can't set things on the bottom part if you want to be able to adjust it down. That said, I plan to eventually purchase monitor arms, which should help me reclaim some space on the top. So I still think this product is easily worth 5 stars.

So great! Very easy to take up or down. Adjustable everything- tightness of pneumatic arm, height, keyboard position. I've had it just over a month, used it every weekday. Dramatically changed my office ergonomics- I now stand most of the time but sitting positions are also improved when they occur. I've enjoyed it SO much, it's a great quality stand, easy to assemble, fits my typical office desk very well. I looked at a lot of options on Home Essentials Direct and believe I decided on the best overall, especially in looks, ease of use, durability, and ergonomic improvement for both sitting AND standing. I couldn't be happier, it's definitely changing my office health.

The StarTech meets these requirements completely, and has a number of additional features I really appreciate as well. pros: + easy assembly + lowered, the keyboard tray is just about at desk height with monitor raised about 5 inches, which is perfect for me given my height and ability to adjust the height of my office chair + super easy to raise, just pull up on the adjustment release lever on left side then lift up on monitor shelf with both hands, height infinitely adjustable between the min and max points.
