It deformed the can and lid when I used it. Not much different than Channel Lock pliers.

A must have for your plumbing box! We all know how difficult it is to remove the caps on the primer and solvent cans. You could use pliers but this item won’t distort the cap like pliers do.

Says right on the package it works on all containers except the gallon size, but when I got home with it I found it is too large for the small size containers I usually buy for my occasional use. Is it worthless? Or do I start buying larger containers that I won’t use up?

Why didn't I have this 20 years ago?

Cans of contact cement or PVC cement are notorious for getting stuck and requiring lock jaw pliers to open. This sweet can top wrench will open them without risking bending or crushing the thin metal screw on lids. Recommended.

This is the answer to leaky PVC glue containers!

Unlike vice grips and channel locks, this will open and close PVC glue containers without messing up the shape of the lids on PVC glue containers. I was able to close up the purple primer and no more leaks!!!

Where has this been all my life!! My hands are too week to open the glue cans so I was using a wrench, which often would damage the lid enough that it would not close tightly or close TOO tightly, and often drying up my glue or letting purple cleaner leak all over the place. This “grabber” is SO easy to use. It grips the lid tightly making it easy to remove. Then it tightens the (undamaged) lid perfectly. No more leaking, stinky purple stuff, and no more dried up glue.
