Instruction video way oversimplification

The video for installing this crown molding makes no sense. The guy specifically says and shows a normal 90 degree miter cut. (He also shows the option of a 90 degree bevel, depending on the orientation of the piece). This seemed too simple to be true, but he looked like a convincing expert. So I cut the pieces exactly as shown on the video, and of course they did not fit the corners. I have not installed crown mounding in 25 years, so it took some figuring out. They have to be cut at 32.5 degree miter and 34 degree bevel, simultaneously. To my surprise, my cheap-o chop saw has these indications, but I never noticed this before. So, way more complicated than the video, but I’m a home DYI type and was able to figure it out with some doing.

This molding was everything I hoped. It arrived on time, was very light and easy to handle, and I put it up by myself with just adhesive (I’m a 64 yr old single woman). Highly recommend!

An answer to a big problem

I love my moulding. Thetevwas damage to the area of the ceiling at the top ofbthe fireplace resulting from a repaired leak. The only optoin seemedbto be redoing the ceiling, which was not affordable. This solved the issue and was easy to install. Heavy moulding would have been too heavy for the damaged ceiling n

Really Pleased With Results

Product is awesome, shipping was an issue. Packaging not that great for product protection. Guessing box was bent by Fed Ex. Some dents on crown where box was bent. Went up easy for a DIY inclined person. Would purchase from again. Reasonable pricing. 6.5' less to ship than 8'

I received these a few months ago and finally had some time off work to install. I placed these in my wife's makeup room which is an 8x8 area. They look amazing and were simple to put up. You can't tell these are not made out of wood. They were so light which made installing even easier. These go perfect in our 1890 house.

Foam Crown Molding

So easy to install and looks great! I used it in my basement but it would look good anywhere.

I was surprised and amazed with this product. This is made of high density like poly foam, very easy to use to make cuts with electric saw to do angle cuts as well as straight cuts. I was concerned about that at first given that it’s lightweight however the quality is great. You would use caulking to apply it to surface. You can also do a coat of water based paint on it once you have it hung up, one coat is all you need. We found it to be very stable it does not expand. These make for a fairly quick yet good quality project whether in a large or small space. I would say maybe depending on the size of a room a normal size room won’t take but 2 hours to complete, that includes your cuts and applying. It’s exciting after you get the first one or two up and see it coming together to see what it looks like.

This is some neat stuff! Your mind tells you it should be heavy but when you pick it up, it’s light as a feather. Beautiful design that very neat and precise. Easy to cut and easy to paint also. Easy to store because of its lightness too.

This A La Maison crown molding is great. I have worked with crown molding before but it has been awhile and the foam is great. It is very easy to handle and install on your own vs needing another person around to help out. It really brought our room together and my wife approved so that is always a win.

We have a small bathroom that needs an update. This set of Floral Foam Crown Molding 5 pack will provide a nice accent to it. Made of foam, these moldings are over 32" long and approximately 4" wide. The pattern is floral with swirls and very pretty and well done. It can be cut and fit to any size needed. We have not painted them but plan to make them match. It seems porous enough to absorb the paint. This is an inexpensive way to provide an update or accent to your home and I recommend them.

The design is very classic yet beautiful. I have not seen many houses with this design. I would advise everyone who is purchasing molding always to double-check the measurement to fit their liking best. The corners include fantastic; not much adjustment has to be made to the original design the best part of the molding is setting it up to fit the design to the individuals liking best.

This molding was the finishing touch that I needed for my new home office. It was super easy to install and cutting to the right size was a breeze it looks absolutely fabulous. I definately want to buy some more to install in some other rooms in my home could not believe the differnce it made.

We got this molding for the bathroom. thinking by the description it would be the usual plastic molding you usually would put in a situation you don't want to put wood up. however upon receiving this its actually made of a dense foam, its actually soft. I guess thats my fault for assuming incorrectly. pluses are lightweight, very easy to cut (a very sharp utility knife would do the trick) this would work just fine for our purpose, and i would probably buy it again if needed on another project for crown molding. I wouldn't purchase anything made from this material for base molding as it wouldn't stand up to the abuse.

Overall, I am very happy with this product. It is lovely and looks great in our older home. Because each of the pieces is only 6'-6" long, I used it in our guest bathroom to avoid having a seam in the middle of the crown. The material was easy to cut with a miter box and I was actually able to do this project without the help of my husband. I used liquid nails to secure it to the wall/ceiling. Due to the light weight of the foam crown, it was easy to hold in place while the liquid nails set. I used a silicone caulk the fill in the corner joints which I didn't cut perfectly. After it was dry, I painted the crown to match the other moldings in the room. The whole process only took me a few hours of labor. I will definitely use this product again. Highly recommended!

I've installed foam medallions in my home before so I wasn't intimidated to tackle a crown molding project next. Right out of the box I was floored by the incredible detail, edges of the decorative cuts so precise and clean! This product is lightweight and forgiving...up to a point. I used a handsaw with a mitre box, and my cuts were pretty awful. However, using spackling and drywall mud, I was able to install it and make it look halfway decent. With the proper tools and knowledge, this is far superior to wood moulding.

The material that composes this molding is feather weight, but that does not make it light weight. This quality makes it easy for a person working alone to hold it in place and install using painter's caulk.

I was a little reluctant to use foam crown molding but, this product is amazing. This molding is easy to install and can transform your room within hours! Honestly it is can be “installed” by any skill level.. you do not need to hire a professional. I highly recommend this product. I have already used it in a bedroom and will be using it next in my dining room.
