Perfect island for small kitchen

Perfect island for a small kitchen providing countertop space for food preparation, storage and even a sit-at-the-bar eating experience if desired. Side storage for spices and knifes a bonus!

Perfect island. Easy to put together, great quality and fantastic looks. I did seal the top and we love our island. I would give it my highest recommendation!

Excellent island. Solid build, nice finish and butcher block top. It was time consuming to build, but directions are easy to follow. Potential negatives: 1. caster locks don’t stop it from sliding very well (lean against it, it moves); 2. Narrow width on side cabinets, about 7” w/ doors installed, but great for cookie sheets; 3. Very deep cabinet, so to make effective, I added pull out basket. Also, be sure to oil butcher block top!

Shipping was VERY FAST being in New York State. 2 packages were picked up that each were heavy from the solid wood pieces. I have included Pictures that are the parts in my DiningRoom and Living Room in pieces. I also included pictures of the assembled unit.

Absolutely perfect. Read the instructions thoroughly. Take your time ( maybe even a break will help). Once it is done a nice mineral oil wipe down and it is perfect. It’s solid, attractive and definitely an addition you will love in your kitchen.

The quality is very good, but the finish left some to be desired. I used the Danish oil which was recommended and it left areas that looked to not have any finish on it at all. The instructions were very good for the assembly. It took my son 4 hours to assemble. I wish the drawer was a little bit deeper.

Overall it's a nice unit but the installation instructions should be improved to include more and better detail. In addition one of the ends was not produced correctly requiring us to manually drill holes in order to properly mount the spice rack. In ended up taking us several hours to get it put together due to the poor instructions and incorrect piece. Normally we would have just brought the unit back for replacement. But in this case the unit was purchased for our remote cabin in northern Minnesota, 50 miles from the nearest Home Depot. To get a replacement unit would have been a huge hassle.

I love this kitchen island!

I would absolutely purchase this kitchen island again. The wood is beautiful, well constructed and solid and a gorgeous addition to this place. Their customer service is outstanding. The butcher block top had a crack in it and I called the next day. They immediately shipped out a replacement top and it arrived in perfect condition. I am thrilled with this addition and everyone who has seen it has complimented me on it. You can't go wrong!

Love how much storage space this brings to my kitchen! It took a while to put together by my handy husband and his worthy partner, youngest son. But it is beautifully sturdy, is the right height (without wheels) for a 5' woman, looks gorgeous in the kitchen and fills the bill with its collapsible extension to the top. It came in two boxes of about 70 lbs. each, the boxes arrived much earlier than expected - three or days earlier! Would highly recommend!

This is HEAVY solid wood. This is no composite wood island. Get some mineral oil or cutting board oil to dip the screws in as you screw them in to make them easier to go in, not because of poor quality--the exact opposite--because real solid wood is harder to screw into. Beautiful island! This manufacturer had accidentally sent the wrong back panel in this kit, but I called them (their assembly help line number is prominently displayed on the instructions), and they had no hesitation in sending a replacement immediately out to me. I'm the chef in the kitchen, not a handyman, but I was able to put this together myself with help only needed when I had to turn it over to install the casters. Unless you really are a handyman, give yourself an entire day to put this together. I have assembled many pieces of our furniture over the years though, and this was the most detailed and had the most number of pieces to figure out of any that I have put together. The instructions are definitely a little more vague than I would have liked. I figured everything out on my own, but it took a good bit of matching and making sure of the instructions and drawings (where they showed where holes and shapes were) to the actual pieces. Their instruction manual needed more details, I thought, as to numbers of screws used for a specific step and measurements in all places, not just some places. Not perfect but definitely worth the time and trouble!

Delivered on time. All parts present, nothing missing or broke. Went together easily. Takes a couple hours. Made very well. Was the perfect fit for our kitchen. Love the natural wood. American made!

It's just beautiful and will be even more gorgeous once I get it oiled. Exactly what I wanted and matches my hardwood floor perfectly! I honestly couldn't be more pleased. Instructions were easily understood and loved the fact that it is American made. A true quality piece of furniture that enhances the functionality and overall look of the kitchen.

This is gorgeous when put together, even more than expected. Seems very sturdy. The only thing I didn't like is that some of the pieces are held together with these metal pins, and some of the pins don't fit very snug in the holes so I actually had a couple fall out while I was still putting it together. Now that it's together none have fallen out even with wheeling it around. If I were putting this together from scratch again, I'd probably try to find a way to fit the pins in permanently so they cannot fall out. Be patient when putting this piece together, it will take a while. The instructions are good and easy to follow and I (a housewife} did it by myself but count on it taking a good while to do correctly. It was definitely worth it and I LOVE it!

Best furniture I've ever put together

This is hands down the best piece of furniture that I have ever assembled! The instructions were spot on and easy to understand, hardware was well marked and every piece fit perfectly. Well made, quality craftsmanship, this will last for years. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because the wheels seemed a bit cheap for the rest of the cart and won't stay in place when you set the cart up.

I would buy this product again

My wife really likes this addition to our kitchen. Nice design and blends in well with our maple cabinets. Provides a lot of extra counter top space for hosting our family get to together s during the Holidays. After removing all the items from both boxes and laid them out for assembly, it took about three hours before roll around cabinet was completed and ready for use. I still had to purchase the Butcher Block Oil and when it arrived I had to oil down the cabinet inside and out, about a good half an hour or more. One piece was damaged in shipment, was able to glue and repair it myself. A couple of blemishes in the wood for the shelves. was able to hide it on the bottom side. Well constructed and seems to be very sturdy.

Definitely would recommend this to anyone.

Shipment in two boxes arrived 4 days ahead of schedule. The packaging was well done and on inspection all pieces and hardware were in excellent condition. The instructions were clear and well written. Reading the reviews also helped identify areas of potential problems. Pay very close attention to the screws to be used in different applications. If it's not the right screw, you need to find the right one in another pack. It is definitely a two person job. When you hang the four doors, get the top frame piece in place, set the door pin in the bottom frame piece and work with one door at a time from right to left or left to right. Beautiful Wood and finish. Very happy

Almost perfect

Overall I'm very pleased with the unit. It is finely crafted, highly functional and quite attractive. My only disappointments are with the non matching hardware (the door handles don't match the spice rack bars). Also the fact that it is not 100 percent hardwood. I was disappointed to find that 2 sides and some of the shelving was made with "presswood" and a thin veneer of hardwood. I would have gladly paid $100 more to have a 100 percent hardwood product. Overall score is a 92.

Bought this to add counter space and storage to our kitchen. Assembly went smoothly with all required parts in good condition. End result looks great and suits our needs well. Ample storage and the leaf is big enough for someone to sit and socialize while you cook. Two would be tight though for a real meal. Overall happy with the product would recommend it.
