Unsatisfied customer

This product was scratched %26 had broken pieces. However I don’t have time to return it %26 wait for another one to have it ready for a party. I am not happy with this. The center piece is broke being held together by the side pieces

Absolutely trash. Flimsy , not made well. A part broke and I barely even touched it. Just absolute garbage. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Inferior Hardware

All the joint connector nuts broke when tightening. I've used these types of connectors before and never had one break. I had to buy replacements at Lowes (Hillman 1/4-in x 20 Zinc-plated Steel Joint Connector Nut 4-Count Item %23148336 Model %23881681). This should never have happened.

Would have given 0 stars if i could

It came with holes not entirely drilled through. Wasn’t able to build the bottom part because the pieces will not fit together. Had to use hot glue gun and wood puddy but the quality of the wood is not good. Don’t work like real wood does. The screws wouldn’t go through.

not quite as expected

first, the description said wood. It is press board. 2nd, 2 camlocks broke when settling it up. 3rd, instructions were not clear. Other wise, it will do what i want, but I have to figure out how to 100% secure the top and bottom sections.

Not worth it.

The box I received had obviously already been opened before. I believe I received a returned item. There were chips in the surface and the hardware was loose. I had to glue a few parts to secure it. Plus no instructions in the box.

Don’t buy product: bad design %26 return policy.

Don’t purchase this DVD shelf. It has screws at the bottom that are not flush with the floor, so you will scratch it up. You could add coasters to the bottom. However, it’s so top-heavy and narrow that they would force you to screw it to the wall. The return policy was to tell Walmart, which will tell you to go to the merchant. At best, you’ll get them to only give a refund (you pay for shipping) if you restore the already assembled product back to its unassemble state (which you can’t do with the nails involved) or get a partial refund of under $7.

Fell apart right after assembled

Poor quality. I should have read the reviews before ordering. Now Im just out $70. The plastic bolts that lock onto the screws to secure the top half to the bottom half all snapped and broke during assembly, only I didnt realize it until I stood it up after assembly. It all fell apart and is in the garbage. Very disappointed.

Beware of bad hardware

I normally don't have many problems with putting these types of shelves together. But this particular shelf came with shoddy quality hardware with no bonuses for replacements. Out of the 6 screw brackets that came with this, 2 broke and one just fell out after the shelf was built. Luckily a Lowe's near me carried the exact same size brackets so I could finish building it and it's been fine since.

Multi media storage cabinet

Holds quite a bit of games and dvds but the first thing I noticed was the wooden dowel that align the multiple parts were drilled over what was needed to keep them in place. Had to put about a wrap and a half of electrical tape on each one to get them to stay in place. Worked but you would think the manufacturer would check things like that. The holes for the twist locks that twist on the screws were almost through the boards that they fit into if you push them in too far I’m guessing they would pop the black overlay off making an eye catching mess. Same problem on the shelf pins just not as lose as the other ones and the notches in the shelves some were not cut level so the shelf’s are a bit wobbly. Yes it’s only $73 but they could use some quality control tips

Beware!

My wife ordered this for me. Came packed in a box in a bigger box. So far so good. After unpacking, I noticed the pieces were bundled together with masking tape.

disappointed

didn't come with the right pieces. piece H shows it's supposed to be double sided with screw's on both sides. It only had one side with screws to add the sides for the shelving. the other side only has screws to keep the shelving in place there's no additional holes to add the screws for the second part of the shelving. I spent 2 hours trying to figure it out. After 2 hours of trying to figure it out I gave up. (didn't come with all the screws)

Very expensive for what it is. Worth $20 max

This is a $20 cheap product hiding behind a $50 price tag. It's cheaply made. The screws on the bottom don't even have the standard plastic covers! This bookcase will sit on the ground directly on 4 metal screws, so make sure you're not setting it on hardwood floors or any other surface that might scratch. I have included pictures of what my wife has used it for next to a giant bookcase from Walmart that we only paid $30 for. The tall bookcase is almost 50% taller for only 60% of the price!

Product arrived with no attaching hardware kit. DJ at Home Depot in plymouth , michigan was very helpful in getting the hardware pack, but when I went to assemble I found that one of the boards was also missing. Atlantic was quick to espond, but I have had the box for 3 weeks now but still can't asssemble until the board arrives.

Inexpensive easy storage for your media.

This is just what you need to store CD's and DVD's in a compact orderly space. It has 12 movable shelves and 4 fixed shelves at DVD height. The unit is constructed of veneered particle board and as with most all of furniture manufactured in China the piece is flimsy and can be unstable. Care must be taken in assembly and placing in position. It can easily become detached or broken. Once loaded with CD's and DVD's it is more stable, especially if you anchor it to the wall with the supplied brackets.

Price wise this decent media center will work especially if...

Price wise this decent media center will work especially if you have a low budget and perhaps would work best at a dorm or small apartment. Some of the construction is poor at best; the back is flimsy and will fall apart if the media center is moved often. The shelving doesn't stick properly together. It hold a fair amount of media, not too small but not a large collection either. I would spend slightly higher and get better workmanship to last you far longer as this appears to be a short term and lackluster selection.

I love my new media storage

Assembly of my new unit was easy, following the directions. The variety of shelf positions is customizable to individual needs and very pleasing. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for storage for CDs, DVDs, old VHS tapes and even books. The only problem I had with this unit was navigating the box it was delivered in. I am an old woman and the compact box was very heavy and difficult to maneuver into the house, but the product was worth the extra effort.

Cheap cabinet

Look good out of box. All parts seem there. But the center piece (H) was not the right board piece cause it was supposed to connect both top half and bottom shelving together but i had to go buy L shape brackets to connect and secure top to bottom. But it was wobbly just the same. They didn’t join nicely! The particle board was cracking in 4 different areas where the screws connected the side boards. I could go on but this piece of furniture was the worst ever!!! I will never buy this ever again!! I made sure i secured it to the wall for fear of it falling apart at some point!! Don’t waste your money on this junk!! I’ve put together many pieces and they were easy and went together securely and wood didn’t split before you finished.

Delivered quick. Easy to put together. Seems very solid. Base is a little narrow so its height and size makes it a little top heavy on carpet. Holds a LOT of CD's, DVD's and BluRay. Put all the CD's on the bottom because they are heavier to add a little more stability to the base. Adjustable shelve heights are great.

Great buy for the price!

We liked the first one enough to purchase a second one. Placed side by side we have our own little DVD store! In reply to a couple low ratings, any cabinet of this dimension should be fastened to the wall to keep it secure. Tip: the pegs for shelves look like they are the same size on both ends but are not. Take care in putting the thicker side in the slot or the shelves may be wobbly. Some of the holes may need a little clean out to get the pegs in properly. Again, good buy for the price. My husband was thankful he didn't have to build a DVD rack himself, which was my original plan!
