This is the most PERFECTLY INCOMPLETE bed you will ever buy. How can you have a bed frame with only 4 slats with each slat being less than 2 inches wide? The frame does not provide any form of support for the mattress. You are forced to add slats to give stability to the frame or buy a box spring. DO NOT BUY the frame as it is. The manufacturer needs to improve the product, and the only way to achieve that is to reject the item. Admittedly, the frame is nice to look at but that should not be enough to sway you to buy it.

Bed in a box

It arrived earlier than expected and I was very surprised by the packaging. I thought I would have been intimidated by a large overpowering box but it was in a box the size of the headboard and everything neatly packed inside same. It was easy to assemble too. It turned out ok and I was proud of myself. You do need a box spring and a thicker mattress to get the fullness as shown in the picture and I would like to thank the previous reviewer for the warning.

Only complaint I have is that it should read that you need a double pillow top mattress for the bed because if you just put a single mattress, you need a box spring so the mattress lines up with the headboard, not below it.

You don't have to sacrifice style and sturdiness with the Lien Bed. This Bed is meant to last! And good thing, because it really is such a versatile piece that can coordinate with many things.
