Extremely difficult to assemble

The screws do easily assemble into the boards. The instructions are unclear and are often lacking. The online videos demonstrating installation are not helpful and do not give clear instruction either. I have had to use a power drill just to install some screws in. This product is yet unfinished, but I am extremely unhappy with my purchase right now.

Decent, stylish, economy desk, easy to assemble

Overall quality is good for what it is - an economy flat-pack MDF veneered desk.

I've only had it for a couple of weeks but so far it's working fine. Usually the poorly made versions of these things start showing their weakness pretty early on. So far this has been solid. It feels solid and the way it's assembled exudes confidence. One thing I would suggest that I didn't do , is to also use some wood glue. You may have to remove some of the finish on joined edges to get the real bond but I think that would really add years to this. I'm contemplating ordering another desk and I'll definitely do that with that one.

Love my new espresso work surfaces! They are very sturdy and well made. I highly recommend them!

I absolutely love my new espresso solid wood desks! They are so beautiful and high quality for the price. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a beautiful work surface.

You might want to reconsider this purchase.

This was the most frustrating item my husband and I have ever had to put together. The illustrations were hard to follow and the explanations were difficult to understand and poorly written. We had to redo a few of the steps several times before finally getting them right. The desk looks very nice now that we finally finished this exhausting job, but I would never buy another product made by this company.

Just OK

The workstation is OK. The main issue is with the drawers. They are not only small but not well aligned. I thought I may have messed up with the assembly but since I had purchased 2 of them and the other one also turned out misaligned, I know I am not to be blamed. This misalignment causes the drawer, especially the top drawer to scrape against one side causing the side panel to chip. They do not operate smoothly as well. If only the drawers were a little aligned and smooth to operate, would have given 5 stars.

Techni Mobili-Computer Desk Exceptional Value!

This is the first time I have ever bought any furniture from Techni Mobili, and believe me it won't be the last! This was an exceptional value so going in I didn't know what to expect. It arrived in two carefully packed boxes. The quality of the desk components and hardware was exceptional. Instructions were easy to follow and they even included a rubber handled screwdriver to assist in the assembly. I would recommend using your own though, but it's the thought that counts! After completion you have a very attractive and sturdy Computer Desk that's worth more than twice the price!

Very Nice

Overall the desk is very nice and sturdy. It took a few hours to put it together. There are a lot of parts. Some of the parts were damaged during shipping but not bad enough for the hassle of returning it. FYI: Expect 2 separate boxes. Make sure all parts are there before starting assembly. A screwdriver is provided but the process is much faster with a drill or electric screwdriver. There is a video (QR code provided) to watch on YouTube for assistance with assembly. They also included “spare parts” which came in handy when I thought I lost a screw.

Just wow, this desk is beyond worthless.

Machined poorly, 1st up drawer bottoms aren't milled out.

Desk review

Poor design for the right side pedestal. Should have a full width left side of the pedestal. As it is, there is no shelf support at the left rear and the shelf tips. Had to make something to add a support pin. Don't know what kind of miniature printer they imagined for the upper "printer shelf" and even if anyone still used a stand alone scanner it wouldn't fit on the "scanner shelf".

First, a word of warning: This desk will require more than 1 person to help build it. Expect to ask for help when completing assembly of this desk. My only gripe is with the top drawer. I can't open and close it properly. Otherwise, this desk is everything I need and looks good to boot. Worth. It.

nice desk for the price

Desk parts were carefully packaged. Only minor scratches were on the surface of a few parts, nothing a touch up pen couldn't fix. Build was quick with easy to follow instructions. Would like to have had the option for printer shelf to be on the left (or right). Drawers are junk. They scrape when opened. I have adjusted and re-adjusted them and they're still hard to open. I have built 2 of this same desk, and BOTH had the same issue! Overall, desk is nice.

I didn't have a fun time building and I still do not enjoy the desk overall

The desk does not come with a manual. There are videos that show you how to build it, but my package came with the screws labeled by dimension. The video uses letters (rarely any actual dimensions) to denote which to use. Do not mix up any of the screws. Trust me, if you follow the video, you will mix up the screws at least once. Now, I would not give a 1 star solely on that. Oh no. The desk looks decent and has some room to put things in, but the quality is not nearly as good as some pictures lead you to believe. Sometimes the wood cracks and breaks easily. One specific part remains wobbly (the right side panel that fits into the right cubby to separate into a top cubby space and bottom cubby space). It's labeled Panel 17 and is the last thing you install into the desk in the tutorial video, if you are curious. Maybe this is all due to how it was shipped to me, but the issues persist regardless. I am already ordering another desk to replace this one. Certainly not ordering this again.

Great Desk for a Great Price!

I love the look of this desk. It took some time to put together. It was nice to see a company include a screw driver but there is a zero chance you wont get frustrated trying to use it. It's a little short and made it tough to get some screws in. I recommend using a bigger one or a power screw driver for the ones that do not need a shorter screw driver.

This is a really nice looking desk for the price point. I didn't need anything too fancy, just something to work from home occasionally. The drawers are good sized for a small home desk. The top is also very spacious. The only two drawbacks that I have noticed for myself are, because of the color, the dust shows a lot; however, It is a nice looking black color. The other thing would be that there isn't really a spot to set up your printer on. Because of the appearance and the price I would recommend this product.

Loose hardware in box. Improper holes drilled for cam screws. Metal inserts for keyboard tray brackets couldn't hold weight of tray, fell out immediately. Had to epoxy inserts back in place. Overall poor quality and poor craftsmanship. Looks pretty good once finished, If you are able to even build it. I fix things for a living so I was able to come up with solutions on the fly, but I would suspect others could have a nightmare on their hands.

It's a pretty decent desk. HOWEVER. One of the drawers (specifically, the top most drawer, not the slidey board)... CATCHES. That's right. Do you like grinding noises/ aggressively fighting a drawer that doesn't want to open? You'll love this desk, because apparently they all do this. My brother ordered the exact same desk, same color and everything... And his also grinds loudly for no reason and resists being opened. Agh. Otherwise, it's a beautiful desk, only takes five hours to build but it's nice and spacious.

Like so many things that used to be made of wood, this wood by-product, apparently MDF, item is heavy. It is sturdy and well made, but not well thought out. Therefor, no fifth star. The cylindrical supports for the upper shelf get in the way and I haven't discovered any value in the silly little top most shelf at the right rear. But, one doesn't need to install it. Comments have been made concerning the height of the computer space on the right. The shelf near the top of the space has three height settings and in a worst case situation, can be left out. Assembly time has received a modest amount of attention in the ratings along with certain difficulties involved. I didn't bother timing the procedure, but it was a matter of hours. Some of the reported times were a bit long. Eleven hours? The instructions were well organized, apparently written by someone with a adequate command of English. However, the details of the drawings, which contain valuable information concerning orientation of the pieces are way too small. Young eyes may see things differently. Much has been written about the screw driver supplied and the difficulty in turning the screws. The driver supplied with my desk was well made and provided adequate torque for driving the screws. Although the grip was on the small side I had no trouble using it. As I progressed through the assembly, the tool performed satisfactorily with no tendency to "cam" out and there was no challenge of strength involved in turning the screws. There has to be a tight fit. The screws are cutting threads in the MDF. Sure, the holes could have been drilled to a larger diameter, but only at the risk of the screws loosening in the future. At first one might wonder why the screw driver has such a short shaft. It is a problem at one point near the end of the assembly when you will probably substitute a longer tool. But wait. Very soon one step reveals the importance of the over all length of the driver. There is a reason for the short shaft. I have been disappointed in only one way. The pull out keyboard shelf is a sloppy fit in the guides. This will probably be fixed with a adjustment, if I ever get around to it.

I am loving my new desk

So got the gray colored model and it fits well with the color of my living room. I have a medium sized tower so I had to leave one shelf out from the desk. Over all it took me about 4-5 hours to assemble. It comes with it's own screw driver which is all you will need to assemble this desk. I'm not big into tech so for what I have it fits my needs. I have a 27 inch screen monitor and it has space for a bigger screen. It is sturdy and does not feel cheap at all. I would recommend this desk to someone else. Also, I got the desk shipped to my job since I wasn't going to be home and wanted to make sure it would be kept safe for me, the delivery came in 2 boxes each roughly 45lbs so keep that in mind if you will have it shipped anywhere other than your home lol.

Loved the computer desk

The desk looks great. It was what we were expecting. It was super easy to put together. All the parts were there, everything was marked so we knew what parts to use when per the instructions. We are an elderly couple so we were a little slow. But like I said the instructions and how everything was marked was great, you made it awesome. The desk is sturdy even though it is made of pressed wood. Great experience
