When assembled, these chairs are attractive and I like them. However, if I had known about the strong odor of formaldehyde on the seat fabric that required several days of airing, I may not have ordered them. Only 3 screws secure the seats and I don't know how long they will hold. The back insert design is pretty, but the edges of the design are not smooth. They are simply stained and rough.

Bought these chairs to go with a glass top table that has black modern looking base. The chairs came well packaged and were easy to assemble. These chairs are lightweight but seem to be sturdy and stable. I personally would have preferred a heavier chair but the price, shipping and packaging make it a deal.

The chairs are beautiful; however, there are so many small imperfections (dents, uneven chair legs, chips, rough finishes) that I am very disappointed in them. This was my first time to order from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. It will also be my last.

Basic low end chairs

Basic chairs. They look nice from a distance. Ornate back section not sanded smooth on the edges very rough. One of the braces had to be re-drilled by me because there were no screw holes lol. Hard to put together using an Allen wrench with inset screw holes not fun. Should be on clearance for $29.99 for a set of 2 chairs.

Beautiful chairs with well crafted construction. Just be prepared to take 45 minutes to assemble each as the Allen wrench to tighten the 6 bolts will only make a 1/2 Revolution turn. Not didficult, just time consuming. These chairs were worth the time to assemble and look perfect with my glass dining table.

I love the chairs and gave it four stars because we had to drill extra holes in order to attach the seat cushions. Also we tried putting it together first with the tool that came with it and ended up doing it faster with a drill.

Poorly Crafted

Chairs are made with very sturdy wood. The lattice work is unfinished underneath all areas - wood not sanded or stained, splinters abound; not enough seat padding; feet bottoms should have had some kind of glide or pads - very rough on floor - do not slide or you will scratch floor. Definitely not a quality product or a product the manufacturer takes pride in. Mass produced junk.

These are okay for the price. The wood inset is very rough. These were time consuming to assemble and are not as sturdy as they should be. I would not recommend these chairs.

The wooden backs of the chairs were pretty rough. All had splinters. They could be fixed with some sanding and touch up. They look pretty good but the quality was not what I expected.

Quality Merchandise

This is a beautiful set of chairs as pictured. Light but sturdy. Quality merchandise. Matches the wood trim perfectly to a table I already had. Material is a neutral color but looks nice.

Great Chairs I have a table that holds 10 chairs comfortably, I already have 2 Captains chairs that are in perfect condition. Ive been on the hunt for 8 quality chairs. The problem was the quality I was looking for just wasn't in my price range. I kept looking on Overstock and I came across this deal. Seamed liked a no brainer, so I ordered 2 sets. ( 8 chairs ) Delivery was quick but then I saw 4 chairs to a box and I gasped. I was thinking how many cracked or broken pieces are in these boxes. Well, only way to find out , open them up. Not one piece was crack or broken. These chairs are study, comfortable and not hard to put together, a little adjustment here and there . They are well worth the money .

Quality unacceptable/Will destroy outfit.

Absolute horrible quality. The backs of the chairs were not sanded and tore shirts of anyone who sat in them. To make them useable you would have to sand the backs completely and repaint. There were also scratches and chips on the legs of the chairs and the paint job wasn't fully done on the backs. Do not order these chairs.

These chairs look nice from afar but when you get up close you see all of the lazy manufacturing. The cut outs in the back are very rough and catches peoples clothes on them. Also they are painted but spots are missed so you can see the wood. just overall lazy manufacturing.

These chairs are gorgeous. The quality is great. They are on the lightweight side so they aren’t the standard heavy dining chairs. But for the price they have held up wonderfully with my two toddlers pulling on them constantly.

Beautiful chairs for a modern dining look!

Absolutely beautiful! I purchased a table without chairs and had a hard time finding a matching 4 piece chair set with a modern flair. This was a perfect match! The husband assembled the chairs fairly quickly, no complaints from him- suggests using locknuts. Our son tends to rock on the chairs, so we've tightened them once already, which we'll continue to do to ensure the longevity of the chairs. The cushioning is beautiful both the color and material. These chairs sat us higher and closer to the table than my old ones and much more comfortable. Great buy!
