Excellent Floating Shelves

Put these up in my bathroom and was nervous of the brackets to hang them, not the usual pole brackets used normally on floating shelves. They were super easy and they give you level strip to use. Even being someone not very construction handy at all, I was able to hang them myself. They look great and I absolutely love them. For not being wood, they still look great. I didn’t want wood in the moisture filled bathroom, but they are beautiful. Highly recommend!

I am a handy guy, and these pretty much suck. I want you to know that I'm skilled when it comes to home improvement. I've installed a new service panel (breaker box) many times and completely rewired both home and office (3-phase, 2400 amp service, heavy equipment). I built a 1400-sf deck in my back yard and a 600' bamboo fence around the perimeter. 7 years later, both remain level and as i constructed them. I've removed load bearing walls to vault a ceiling and open the floor plan of my home and I've installed just about every type of flooring from tile to nail-down hardwood to vinyl plank. And from the onset, this product is a pain in my neck. The box. This is a great looking box. I'm in marketing and it's the first thing I noticed. I try to open it and the glue is strong. I can't use a blade because It is wrapped so tightly around the shelf that the blade would make contact and mar the shelf. So i start to pull away the sides. Pieces fall on the floor. 25% off and the shelf won't slide out. 50% and more little pieces all over my floor. Nope won't slide. At about only 10% of the box left around it, you're able to pull it free. (I just opened the 4th shelf and they're all the same.). Next, the instructions are on the back of the box. You didn't realize this was a puzzle project, did you? Well, pick up the pieces and gather your kids and make a night of it! The instructions aren't detailed. There are arrows on the hardware but nothing to explain which direction the intention is. And, I'm 6'2" and 230lbs, but i beat my hand up really well trying to force the fasteners into my drywall. I used a hammer eventually. Then, on the second shelf, the level came loose and that created a nightmare. If i could just measure, I'd be fine. Put the gadgetry in my face and I'll want to use it. All in all, 2-stars is a generous rating. The only reason why i didn't put 1-Star is because i think those lose credibility and aren't fair ratings most times. Don't buy this. It's garbage.
