[Rewarded Review] Braxton shoe cabinet

This shoe cabinet is an improved version of one I purchased 6 year's ago. The legs match the exterior as supposed to being plastic. Overall it is true to color and size. Setup was easy and the item arrived without any damage.

Once put together, the piece looks nice. it's a nice rich gray tone. the assembly directions were horrible, the steps were out of order. also, given that sever pieces are particle board, some of the screws tore the board. also the doors are misaligned. I'm guessing because the holes for the door aren't lined up correctly. however once put together it looks really nice

I wanted a shoe cabinet with ventilated doors, and did not want the shoes out for display on the rack, and this was perfect. The drawer is a huge plus for entry way area, great for sunglasses/masks. The shelves are not adjustable, but I did not put the last shelve in so it can fit tall boots for the winter. In the summer, I'll put the last shelve in again. Fits 3-4 pairs of shoes on each shelve, depending on shoe size. I highly suggest lining the shelves with water resistant liner to protect the wood from water and dirt from shoes, and to extend the longevity of the shelves. I fit up to size 10 shoes. Assembling was not hard. Took 1-2 hours for 1 person. The doors was difficult to get it align and even. After some trial and error, I got it like 90% aligned and its not noticeable.

This cabinet is sturdy and it looks nice. It is a little darker than expected...almost black. My son put it together for me and asked that I let you know that the parts are not marked. This caused him a little more time than expected to put together. Otherwise it is worth the money.

Exactly how it looks online. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of the extra time studying the instructions because its only pictures of all the items numbered and lettered and circled items pointing where to put things. No written instructions, which would have been fine except on some of the pieces you could barely make out the letter and you just had to match the bolts n screws to picture because bags weren't numbered. I finally got it all together in about an hour and a half. It looks great and perfect for what i wanted to use it for. So i would say its a great product and i would recommend it to a friend.

Fits three men size 11 shoes per row, Or four size 7 women’s shoes. Does not fit women’s high heels, height per row is a little short. Exactly what we needed!DIY building was pretty easy. Took about 30 min-1 hour to set up. Look at pictures on directions carefully. Must have your own screwdriver.

Much more than a shoe cabinet! Originally, I had been searching for a sideboard for the dining room and couldn't find one that was in the budget that I liked. Then, I came across this beautiful shoe cabinet by Baxton Studio. The cabinet depth (14 inches) is deep enough to be used for the storage of other items. At 45 inches tall it is the perfect height for the large wall space that we have. It is very sturdy and easy to assembly with two people. Hands down a great buy!

Beautiful piece

The shoe cabinet arrived faster than expected. It was packaged well. The pieces were all labeled but the labels were difficult to locate (written in sharpie on the end of the slats) The packages of screws were not labeled. The instructions were easy to follow. I was able to assemble it in less than one hour. The cabinet seems very sturdy. Shoes fit very well. On the long end you can expect to fit three pairs of mens shoes on each shelf. With that said you could easily fit 4-6 pairs of women’s and children’s shoes on each long shelf. Beautiful and functional shoe cabinet!!

This was pretty easy to assemble and this is coming from someone who a novice at assembling furniture. If your planning on moving this piece around this is not the piece for you. You have to be very careful when moving this cabinet. The a door dropped off very easy when i tired to moving it after assembly. It looked just like the picture once its put together. It looks good but you get what you pay for with it being chipped wood. During the assembly a piece dropped and chipped. Luckily for me it was cone place you can’t see from on the outside.

Works Well in Bathroom Too

This little cabinet holds a lot of 'stuff'. There are two shelves available to use, but I used only one so I could fit some taller items in the cabinet. Very easy to assemble, did it on my own. Has a strange smell when opened packaging, but after couple days, the smell was gone. It sits in my bathroom and is attractive, AND holds many items.

I love this cabinet. I bought it November 2018 when I had my newborn baby and I was looking for a small cabinet to keep downstairs with her clothes diapers wipes etc.. This cabinet was just perfect because it matched everything in my family room. I have not had any problems and no issues with the cabinet. There was no damage that came in perfect condition and I love it. I'm thinking about buying another one as well. Also the price on this is very good I said it's a good working cabinet.

I like this cabinet and it is a great to be able to put the families shoes in there as we walk in the door. I believe it was advertised as a shoe cabinet I would suggest maybe using it for something else. I have noticed that even with the little slat in the doors it doesn't vent enough so when you open the doors it smells like a bunch of stinky shoes. I have recently had issues with one of the doors coming apart in the bottom corner which cased all the slats to fall out. Not easy to put back together.

Actually using 2 of these for my loft area that was converted into a library. Needed more shelf space without blocking the overlook, and of course looking ridiculous, and these fit the bill. Instead of using all three shelves for shoes I just used the center one for books above and below. Already have one of these for shoes at the entrance and its held up fine over the last 8 months with daily use so has the larger model we use in the dining room.

Great shoe cabinet

I had the best experience. The cabinet arrived much earlier than the arrival date. The product came in excellent condition. No scratches or defects. It looks exactly like the picture. Assembly is a bit complicated for the beginner. I absolutely love it, definitely a 5 star, I would recommend it highly and the best thing is Home Square offered the best price.

This is a really handsome piece. We are using it in our second bath for towel storage. Looks great. Dark in colour as shown. Putzy to put together but got it together. I only wish the backing was stronger (it's a thicker cardboard that folds in half *for shipping* and you can see a little light through (if it's up against a wall, then it's not a huge deal) Overall very happy with it.

Perfect for a hide-away litter box house!

The slats help air flow while hiding away the litter box and containing litter tracking. I can simply open the front doors to scoop the box and then poof the box just disappears again when I close the doors! I was going to cut a hole in one end so my cat could climb in, but found that if I just leave the back panel off and pull it out a little ways from the wall, it works even better and totally disguises its use. She gets i and out easily. I am using another one of these (without the feet) as a stacked cabinet the bathroom, to hold linens. They are not made from "forever" materials so they are not super sturdy but for my uses they work just fine since they had to fit within very specific dimensions. They assemble quickly and I would recommend them as flexible storage cabinets. for more than just shoes since you can change the locations of the shelves easily. I actually have no idea how well they work for shoes since mine don't get this type of real estate and are relegated to the bottom of my closet.. Poor shoes...Ha ha!

very nice item for the price. arrived intact as i was scared it may be damaged in shipping. item was complete and directions were pretty straightforward. it took my husband and i about 1 hour to put together . if you have put furniture together you will find this very easy. if you are new to putting stuff together then read ahead and think it through. the feet were a little confusing make sure you have them aligned properly before you go ahead and screw them on . that was the only issues we had and it was because i did not understand the correct placement .quality was what i expected the back of item is colored /paper board backing but it holds up and you can always replace with 1/8 inch plywood . it looks very nice in my living room as i am using as bookshelf i do not regret purchasing this item and would recommend .worth the money. is more black than espresso.

Got this to use as a nightstand in a small bedroom with major deficits in the storage and space departments. Since we hang all of our clothes, there's no reason for us to use a dresser in this space and I basically just wanted something with multiple areas/levels for shoe and knick-knack storage in lieu of a normal nightstand. I've now had this piece for a few months and although I was initially concerned about the quality and durability based on other customers' reviews, I have to say that for the money, this cabinet/stand is a real gem. It's almost the same height as our bed and has plenty of space for me to dock my iPad and phones at night with plenty of space left for a small reading light, a small basket or tray for jewelry and such, and even a book/magazine, etc.

Excellent shoe cabinet

Our kids grew up, so a bench with shoes underneath wasn't enough anymore. Therefore, we decided on this cabinet. First of all it says espresso but to me it looks dark grey. So I was thrilled by that surprise. That goes perfectly with our decor.

Update - this cabinet is very poorly made and I'm sending pictures to Overstock of how the front right cabinet door has just fallen apart. One shutter came out and then it was like dominoes of multiple shutters falling out within seconds of trying to open the door. 1st review: We were looking for an inexpensive cabinet to store extra stereo equipment in a bar area but something that still looked decent This cabinet is very casual and made decently. I’m going to upgrade the cabinet pulls. The shutter doors are a perfect way to upgrade the look - most cabinets in this price point have plain fronts. The construction is sturdy enough that it looks like it will hold up well.
