Great Desk!

Beautiful, sturdy desk! My son and I were dreading putting it together since my husband wasn't available to help, but it was actually a pleasure! The directions were super easy to read and follow and even had some humor thrown in! We were not missing a single piece and it was so helpful how the pieces were packaged and labeled. The glue did burst sometime during the shipping process but we were able to use it anyway, it was just a little messy. ; ) Overall, it was a great experience with the end result being a good looking, sturdy and useful desk.

Nice computer desk at a reasonable price

I looked online for a computer desk and chose this one. Shipped quickly to me and took me about three hours to assemble. Looks great and functional, I really like the computer shelf on the left. Doesn't have a grommet on the desktop itself, that's my only critique. Had a couple of small finish scratches but I called support and they are sending out a "pen" at no charge and should be here in a couple of days. Good value.

Looks great!

Sturdy desk, easy to build (good instructions), and looks great. All the screws and hardware came individually packaged and labeled. All the wooden parts were labeled too. The drawers have micro-adjustments so you can ensure a perfect fit. Highly recommend this desk. I bought it as a homework desk for one of my kids bedroom’s, and liked it so much that I bought a second one for my other kid’s room.

Nice style and color with poor build and design

I have the full size desk from this line with the matching utility cabinet. Those 2 pieces seem to be well designed and work very well. This piece on the other hand looks the same but does not have the fit or finish of my other 2 pieces. Of course the wood is cheap but what do people expect from this price. If you want solid wood expect to add another digit to the price. Structurally this product is ok as long as you don't plan on moving it constantly.

Caution! Poor Quality Partical Board.

I bought this desk, along with the bookcase and computer stand that match it, based on the many excellent reviews from other buyers. The price is certainly right, the color is rich and the final products look great. However, they are made of poor quality partical board that virtually disintigrates under clamps and screws. There are so many screws, nuts and bolts provided to put together each of these items that it's mindboggling. But the cheap partical board is unforgiving for errors... unless something aligns 100% properly the first time, the board deteriorates to sawdust. Fortunately my husband is resourceful and he was able to rebuild or reinforce several areas with solid wood pieces.

Nice quality desk for the money

I liked the look of this desk online and after opening and putting it together I still like it a lot. I'd suggest putting it against a wall though because the backside does not look good. It's unfinished and the paneling is obvious.

Good Basic Desk

I have been shopping for a desk for a while. I wanted something that had warm style and not too office like. I was impressed with the look and function of this choice. Great price too. This desk does come COMPLETELY disassembled, which for me was a challenge. I took my time and followed the directions and diagrams (which were pretty good). I did make a few mistakes that I had to go back and correct....like putting on a drawer glide upside down...oops:( But after many hours I finally got it done and I am happy with my desk. I must say that I have decided to never attempt that detailed of an assembly again. But that is just me. Good luck to all.

Pretty Good

I ordered the desk for store pickup. Associates were very friendly and loaded the heavy desk for me. My husband and I have put together a LOT of furniture over the years so this piece was no big headache. Instructions were pretty well written, pieces were all there, no dents or scratches in the wood. It took about 2 1/2 hours with mostly my husband assembling with some help from me. I'll be using this for my work "home" office so it will get a fair amount of use. Couple things I don't care for so far: file drawer is tight as other reviewers have mentioned so don't plan on filling it as you have to angle the files to get them in and out. On the left side with the shelves since the wood is black it's dark and hard to see what's in there. Looks like the top will show fingerprints so I'll be looking for some kind of desk pad.

1. cheap materials, but this is expected at this price. However you should NOT buy this desk if you plan to expose back side - back panels are flimsy painted CARDBOARD that you nail to desk frame. That makes full setup look VERY cheap

Good Sturdy Desk

I've been looking for a desk with both a cabinet, undermount drawer, and file cabinet for awhile now and finally found one. Many other retailers sell the Sauder Brand but I've found it the cheapest here. If you go to the Sauder website the MSRP for this desk is ~$400, so I was surprised to find it for half the price at Office Depot. I bought this desk for $200 online and picked it up in store, pretty convenient in order to avoid the delivery fees. 2 weeks later it went on sale for $150, and I had no trouble getting a price adjustment when speaking with customer service.

Functional

I bought two of these desks about a year ago for studying, gaming, and general use. I do everything off of a laptop computer so the keyboard portion is not used as intended, nor is the left cabinet.

Great piece of furniture

We have ordered two of these and our now on going our third one for a small office. The other reviewers were correct this is no small task to build and be ready to lay down towels or an old sheet if you have a hard floor. DO NOT USE power tools or you will damage the wood. If you have a piece of the furniture that was damaged when you opened the box DO NOT CALL the store where you bought it. We called the manafacturer directly (their phone number is on the install manual) and they were EXTREMELEY nice and sent out all the needed replacement parts for free no questions asked. The damaged pieces were thrown out as they did not need them back. I am sorry to say that we were not happy with OfficeDepots delivery process. Items were scratched or damaged and returning the entire unit is nearly impossible once you open the box. For one order we even had to have the entire desktop replaced becuase it was cracked right down the midlle and and the manaufacturer sent that out as well for FREE. They will even send you a brown sharpie to cover up any scratches. Overall we are very satisifed on price and quality. We passed on installing the middle drawer as it gets in the way when you want to slide your chair underneath. Going on #3 three now.
