Great Lumbar Support

Great lumbar support. Very well made and easy to assemble.

Great chair

Comfortable and well built. Slight blemish to leather but I don’t want to deal with exchange and in no way effects quality really. Takes awhile for the new chair smell to go away. Helps my back and I really enjoy this chair.

Nice chair, well made.

Really nice, well made. I've used this for 8 hour days and it remains comfortable. Love the adjustability.

Best Desk Chair I Have Ever Owend

I purchased this chair about 5 years ago and saw that it is still made and sold. I work 80+ hour work weeks during tax season and needed a chair with excellent ergonomic support. This chair has exceeded my expectations. It has incredible adjust-ability for the seat, arms, lumbar support and head rest. I am 5'10" 190 lbs, and this chair fits great. Seeing how the head rest and arms can be adjusted still a bit higher, I think it would even accommodate someone up to 6 feet tall - just depends on your torso length. I have the leather version and it is incredibly comfortable. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Very adjustable while providing all day comfort

Easy to find your comfortable seating position. The seat is firm but comfortably supple for all day seating. The back rest is infinitely adjustable for either a stationary position or providing an adjustable pressure while continually moving the back rest front to rear. This chair is perfect for all day office/computer work.

We Love it!

This is an excellent chair for a person of a short stature. This chair was recommended by an Executive member of our staff who has been using the same chair for ten years and it still looks great!

I ordered this chair back Oct 2015. The chair was extremely easy to put together but it wasn't long after I was using it, the arms gave out. The back was the next thing to go as it is very shakey. I think the left handle broke off a few months ago, so I taped it back on. Yes, I still have the chair. I bought it for work as I have a terrible back and have been fighting with it for 3 years now. I'm determine to us this chair at least for another year or so as I invested $ into this chair thinking I could use it until I retired. Well that won't happen. I would not suggest buying this chair if you will be using it daily at work. This may be a good occasional chair, if you don't plan on sitting in it often and if that is the case, I would suggest buying something less expensive. I definitely would not buy this chair again. Less

High Quality Chair -- But Too Small

This seems like a very high quality chair. I had high hopes for it. I do think it would be an excellent chair if only it fit me.I am 6' 3", and the back did not raise nearly high enough for the lumbar support to hit my lumbar. The neck support was also just not high enough. Many reviews indicated that it would be a good chair for someone my height. My guess is that it would fit the average 6' 0" person very well, and above that, maybe yes, maybe no.I was tempted to keep this chair and do some custom modifications on it, in order to get the back to raise higher. I was not able to figure out anything that I thought would be successful, so I returned the chair.

Most comfortable chair i've ever had. Definitely helps make it through seven hours of sitting at the office. I still haven't decided if its worth twice the price of others. Ill post updates after a week.

When I first bought these chairs and sat in them, I almost instantly bought some more of them because of how much I liked them. They have been really good to us.

Only One Arm Adjustable

This Expensive Eurotech Ergonomic Chair was supposed to be the answer for my husband's long hours sitting at a computer. We started putting it together one evening after it arrived in a huge box in the mail. The first step was to attach their castors to the base. We could not accomplish this step because the castors wouldn't stay on. So the next morning we called the customer service line and the lady told us to use liquid soap which worked. The liquid soap was not mentioned in the instructions. We proceeded to put the rest of the chair together with some difficulty. Finally, we each sat in the chair. The right arm would stay in every position, but the left arm kept falling to its bottom position. It would not stay up.My husband also found that he could not sit comfortably in the chair. He is a slender, athletic runner. So then I tried it. I found that the seat sliding mechanism would start to slide too far forward just as I was approaching the correct angle for my lower back. The whole experience was unsatisfactory. We decided to send the chair back. We needed to disassemble the chair. We were able to unscrew all parts, but not able to take apart the castors or the gas lift connections. The Staples person over the phone was good, and we received from her a refund number and UPS label by computer. We could not fit the Chair back in the box, so we found a yellow van taxi and took the piecesof the chair in the original huge box, plus a second box, and went to the Lexington Avenue Staples. The UPS people there said since the pieces no longer fit in the original box, we would need to go upstairs to Staples Customer Service. We found Customer Service at Checkout. After talking with two cashiers and a manager, and their calling Staples central, they accepted the two boxes of parts. Staples gave me a full refund to my credit card on the spot.I learned that:1) I will no longer buy Eurotech chairs.2) I will never buy a chair by mail, without sitting in it first.3) I like Staples on Lexington Avenue and will continue using it. Less

Work Chair

Some executive chairs are like lounge chairs - this is not that chair. This is a work chair, it's not a lean back and talk or sit and read chair. It is firm and comfortable for sitting at my computer typing and other labor intensive efforts. It's just what I was looking for.

Starts good, gets better

To me, it's a very comfortable, attractive, and durable chair. I spend five or six hours a day at work in an Aeron chair and as many hours, albeit split up am/pm, at home on the Eurotech Ergohuman Leather Highback chair daily. Both are comfortable, and while it's no knock on an Aeron chair, by now it's ubiquitous. The Ergohuman chair is well made, was easy to assemble, and hasn't yet seemed to complain about the weight I put on it (240#) daily for over a year now. The leather is very durable; not as supple or luxurious, perhaps, as the Spinneybeck leather on the HM Eames Aluminum Group Tall Back softpad chair it replaced at home, and while that's a beautiful piece of design and an iconic piece of furniture, it's not all that comfortable to sit on for a long time. No wonder - it was designed for the US Pavilion at Brussels World's Fair in 1958. The Eurotech/Ergohuman is a much more recent design incorporating many of the advances in ergonometric seating introduced in the past 60 or 70 years. If the chair has one fault (and it's the only one I've seen after a year) is the design of the arms. Raising them to adjust for height there are detentes, any one of which will work as a "stop" except for the last one; the one at the top which is the action most people make at first to determine the range of adjustment. If you pull the armrest up to the top position where it stops, it won't stay there but will instead fall. Instead, you have to sort of gingerly move it up, stop by stop, as far up as you want it to go until and unless that turns out to have been "too far." You learn how to do it, but you'll always wonder if it couldn't go up a bit more: sometimes it can and sometimes you raise it too much and have to start adjusting it all over again.Otherwise, it's a great chair: no issues with construction or materials, nor with comfort and adjustability. The one design flaw noted doesn't detract much from what is otherwise a very well-designed and well-built product that I've enjoyed using for a while now. Given the durability and lack of problems, I expect to continue to do so for a good long time. Less
