Beware blinding filaments!

I chose this lamp for ambient lighting but didn't realize how blinding the filament in an unfrosted bulb on a clear glass table lamp would be. I began with a 40W LED decorative bulb and settled on an 11W non-LED bulb left over from a dead microwave oven. Not much light, but it does brighten a dark corner and the bubble glass casts a pretty pattern on the walls. (See evening & daytime photos). The base arrived already assembled. The top armature is less than the 45° angle shown in the website photo. As far as I can tell, the armature can't be adjusted, so the slight droop is permanent. For the price, this lamp is good enough.
