Looks Cheap in Real Life

I'm returning this piece of art because it looks cheap in real life - although it photographs beautifully. Unfortunately, the "canvas" is basically plastic vinyl and it's really obvious in person. There is a slight sheen and no dimension. Also, the gold is dull and closer to shades of tan and brown in real life - again, it photographs much better than it looks, even in close up. (I did my best with the close-up shot to show you the sheen and the quality of the vinyl printing.) I'm giving two stars instead of one because of the sustainably forested wood frame and the fact that someone did a nice job stretching the "canvas" over the frame. It has two sawtooth hangers on the back. But this is really a one-star piece. It just looks cheap. I'd be embarrassed to hang this in my home or recommend it to a decorating client. Lesson learned: it's time to spend money on better artwork and get something with actual brushstrokes and the metallic gold I want.

Disappointed

I searched on-line and in stores for that perfect picture and kept coming back to this one. I was not impressed in person. The gold is dull.

I would order it again.

It was nice it brought out my living room area.
