They're a WASTE of money

My original review: I like the amount of light this produces but we need to change the bulbs often which gets expensive. We ordered 2 of these lights and the bases on both of the lights were dented & scratched. It was not a packaging issue the packaging was fine. Update: We purchased these lights in August 2022 and yesterday, 10-2-23, the switch no longer works. It made a weird sizzling sound and went out. I also noticed when I came here to update my review that it was never published because it said: Whoops! Your review has been denied. You can edit your review and resubmit. Shipping Issue: This review is related to shipping concerns, not the product. Contact customer service for all shipping concerns. I'm telling you it was not a shipping issue to start with and it is definitely not a shipping issue a year later that the switch goes out. Do NOT purchase these lights. They also denied the 3 images I submitted showing the damage on the lights. I've been really happy with Overstock but this has been very disappointing. I get constant emails from Overstock and now even more so that Bed Bath & Beyond is part of them but I never received a notification saying that my review was rejected.

GREAT torchiere lamp

Easy assembly, clean look, good distribution of light. Heavy, solid construction. With the right bulbs, creates a bright, white light. Supplied bulbs not bright enough for me.

Many Issues They Do Not Care

The switch has a very loose feel. The expensive dimmable leds I tried flickered on low. The light sockets where positioned that I could not screw in the bulbs both pointed in towards the center. One I could move the other I was able to bend a little to get the bulbs to fit. Something caused the metal to ripple underneath one of the sockets. You can see it clearly when looking up at the lamp. I e-mailed Adesso about these issues asking if I exchange it would I get a lamp without all these issues. Two weeks and no answer. The good with two halogen type bulbs it does put out a lot of light.

I thought the price on this lamp was pretty hefty, but I wanted something of good quality that put out bright light. The construction seems very good. I like that it uses two 150 watt bulbs instead of a three-way bulb (which always burns out first on the highest setting.) As long as the switch doesn't go out right away, I will be happy.

Nice standing lamp

We purchased this lamp for a room with no overhead lighting. Not only does it look nice but it is able to light up a 12' x 14' room by itself. The quality is also good. I would purchase this lamp again.

I ordered 2 of these lamps for my basement family room. Like others have said they are large. The pole is much larger than other lamps of this style. The lamp has a really modern look so make sure that is what you are looking for. Also since it can hold 2 light bulbs it is really bright which is nice.

Love this lamp!!! I love it so much that I purchased 3 of them. It’s heavy duty and easy to assemble, however it’s a bit pricy. I will add 2 more if they go on sale again.

This is a quality made lamp with a heavy, solid base. The shade is glass. Therefore, should not discolor like plastic would. I would like a little more of a finished surface area under the light bulbs. Since that area of the lamp is open (photo), it would make dusting that interior area much easier. The shade can be completely removed fairly easily though for a thorough washing.
