Purchased the same one 6 years ago directly from Moen. However, Moen was out of stock of this spout so Home Essentials Direct was the only choice. The old one still worked but the flow was reduced as the screen had disintegrated allowing crud into the spout reducing the flow.

Moen parts have apparently greatly dropped in quality since the faucet was bought ~10 years ago. This faucet head had no where near the heft and feel of the original. It was very obviously lightweight plastic with a very thin plating of metallic finish. Tried to install it anyway and found the threads to connect the hose were damaged and could not be made usable. Thankfully it is within the return window.

I agree with some of the other reviews that this replacement wand is not as substantial as the original. However, after using it for some time I don't think that this is a big deal. The unit works fine and does not feel cheap. My old wand was broken, and getting this replacement was much better than replacing the entire faucet.

Mine leaked were you connect the hose to the pull out handle. This fixed the leak. The handle already comes with the filter washer, so you don't need to purchase it separately it has everything you need already. Don't separately purchase the cartridge filter that's listed on the parts diagram on moens website, BECAUSE IT DOSENT NEED IT IT'S ALREADY BUILT INTO THE HANDLE. It looks and works fine, AND NO MORE LEAKS! It fits right into the slot very good(not perfect) BUT ALMOST THE SAME. if you care here are a few things that are different. It has a slightly cheaper look and feel to it. The finish is not exactly the same BUT IT'S VERY CLOSE. only a very observant eye could tell, most won't notice any difference in the finish. The buttons on the top dont have as smooth as operation as the original they have more of a popping feel when you switch back and forth. With all that said I am very HAPPY I was able to fix it myself easily and not have to call a plumber. And no more leak puddles under the sink! When your taking your old handle off, make sure FIRST to double check that your turning the right way! LOL it's lefty loosy and right tighty. I though I was getting it loose but I tightened it to the point were it broke off. Only Untill I put it up to eye level and turned it around and looked at the hose from the bottom did I realize I was tightening it. STUPID MISTAKE ON MY PART but it can happen because of the angle you see when your trying to get it loose! When I realized this I pulled in the opposite direction and it came right off, but the old handle was already broken.

As the other reviews mentioned, this is a plastic replacement for the original Moen sprayer that had yellowed with age. It works fine, but is light and made of plastic. It solved our appearance problem and works just fine. Just not the same quality of the original 15 year old metal sprayer. I'd do it again!

We got this to replace the original hand spray unit on our Moen Faucet. This appears to be the original Moen replacement part, but it is a LOT cheaper in manufacturing quality than the original. Cheaper plastic, lighter and flimsier. We got it because the original was leaking. I may try and take the parts out of this one to refurbish the old one, because we really don't like this part - and I am a long-time Moen fan.

Disappointed

This fixture is advertised as 'stainless,' when in fact, it is plastic. We had to keep the fixture because we needed it, but we are very disappointed that it does not match the material of our existing Moen fixture.

Nice faucet

Replaced a 10 year-old removeable spray head with this one. Installation was a snap and it worked like a charm.
