Meh, looks nice but door not structurally soli

It looks really nice. It was very easy to put together but it doesn’t keep my dog in well. The lock just stays in place by gravity. If my dog scratches the door enough the lock just pops open. Also the “hinges” are not strong at all. My dog broke them off after a month of having this crate. So, now it’s useless without a door.

This is not furniture quality

We bought this crate in small for our 9 year old 14 pound Rat Terrior and it is a great size for her. We hadn't crate trained, but it works well for her. The problem I have with the product is it is marketed as furniture quality and it is more like seconds. The finish does not go to the edges and is very visible. The holes are off and the door latch is off so that the door needs to be lifted upon opening and closing so it doesn't scrape. At this price point my expectations of high quality were not there. I expected an item of reasonable quality, medium to low grade wood just something that would hold up under easy use. I believe the wood would hold up the hinge itself would hold up (the paint comes off as soon as you use it so expect partially silver not black), but the lack of attention to how the pieces align and the finishing of the wood is disappointing and would not be on display in the store. I do appreciate that we can add images here.
