I picked up the BBQ dragon heavy duty steel smoker box. So when I do some grilling this spring and summer I can kick it up a notch so the food has that Smoky flavoring that taste so good.

This smoker box is heavy duty stainless steel and, after a couple of uses, shows no signs of rust with only a light staining. So far, it seems it will hold up better than the previous smoker box I've used. It's large enough to hold wood chips to provide smoke for an hour or more; I was able to smoke chicken thighs that came out really well. I've also smoked salmon which also turned out nicely.

Made of heavy duty steel so should last a long time. has a good hinge and seems to be well made. Best to put on when preheating grill and by the time grill gets hot it's a smoking. Did get some flame but that was at first because I overheated but when I turned down the burner after the food ready to go on went back to smoking as suppose to. The pictures and video are without meat on propane grill so all the smoke is coming from the smoker box. Used some apple chips and added a good taste to burgers I cooked after video.

Just received this item, and WOW, I was really impressed with the quality of the material. It's is heavy duty stainless steel box for sure. Not a lot of work to use. Remove from the colorful box, which tells a lot of information about the product. It's compact enough to use on several different sizes of BBQ's. Excited to use it this weekend. I'm planning on smoking some fish first. I will also take it to my sons house so we can use it there too. I may get another one for my son, he's into smoked meat and fish. It looks like it will be easy to clean also, and pop it in the dishwasher. First, make sure to empty the smoking material before washing..

I used this for the first time last night on my gas grill to add smoke flavor to my BBQ chicken. I used hickory chips that I soaked in water and added to the smoker box placing it above the middle burner. I placed the chicken on both sides of the smoker box. After just a few minutes I had a good amount of smoke that lasted for some time. I really like the hinged top for easy access to add more chip when needed. The added flavor to the chicken was outstanding and I will be using the smoker box more in future grilling's.

I really like the BBQ Dragon Heavy duty Stainless Steel smoker box. Right out of the package you can feel the weight of this box. So no worries of the hindged lid warping. It's also a good sized smoker box. 8×3×1 so it holds plenty of wood chips. So less reloading while your smoking your dinner. I tested my new smoker box on a gas grill and a simple chicken meal. While the grill was preheating I put the smoker box directly over the burner. By the time the grill was up to temp the box was smoking. Our chicken had a nice subtle smoky taste. Which we both enjoyed and I'm sure ribs and burgers will be a whole lot more delicious as I learn to use my new smokerbox. Even when the box cooled I checked to see how much chips were left inside the box. All the chips burned evenly. Very good product and should last for many more years of making my grilled meals more delicious.

Works well and adds great flavor. We used Hickory wood soaked in water 15 minutes before adding to the tin. Box is about 8" L x 3" W x 1" deep (smaller than I'd expected) and well made with good stainless steel. We put the tin on top of briquettes. The drippings from veg sausages ended up adding even more smoke when burned on top of the smoker box. Instructions for how to use, how to clean, and some recipes would have been nice. I cleaned it with stainless steel powder cleanser, but it will never look like new again. Looks aren't as important as function, though. It functions very well.

I have used other brands of smoker boxes for my gas grill, but this BBQ Dragon smoker box is better than the others. Although it is difficult to get a major smoke flavor on meat when cooking on a gas grill, there is a distinct flavor after cooking with this. I have used it both with beef and chicken and you can tell the difference. The build of this smoker box is quality. it is made of heavy metal material, and it has holes both on the sides as well as on top. Which I believe makes the difference in flavor. My other boxes have had holes only on top. I would recommend.

I grilled some links for a quick mid-week dinner, and the smoke flavor was great. The box is a good heavy steel which discolored a little but didn't warp under the heat - even though I had it directly on the burner at one point (see photo). It has a solid hinge and the lid opens and closes nicely. I tested the box once before smoking the sausage and the performance is solid. The air flow is great which was obvious from the flow of smoke (and some flames when I over-heated it). A good smoker box, which I expect will last a long time.

This smoker box is very well constructed of extra-thick stainless steel, so it won't warp and probably won't rust, especially if you keep it out of the weather. It measures 9 x 3 1/2 x 1 1/2. The lid is secured with piano hinges, so the lid is not going to wobble or fall off. There are 28 ventilation holes in the box to allow the smoke to escape. Overall, very well made. Comes with a one year limited warranty.
