Well made gate. Not for small dogs.

Beautiful gate. Great for medium to large dogs. My 6-lb poodle walks right through the bars. The extender made the gap too wide. She walked right through. The gate may fit the space with the extender, but the gap may become too wide for tiny dogs. Chewy made it right, though, so no loss on my end. Just disappointment. I really wanted these to work. Thanks, Chewy!

Sufficient dog gate

It's doing the job of keeping this German Shepherd puppy out of my living room. It was pretty easy to assemble into the wall. Seems pretty steady and looks okay also.

Appearance

We were very pleased with the appearance and the sturdiness of these gates ..we bought 2 and they hold back out HUGE FURBABIES from the front door when someone knocks...it was a problem before opening the door with the pups getting there first....these gates look nice and work even better

Easy to install

The installations instructions were easy to follow. The method for securing the gate to the door was well designed to prevent a pushy puppy from pushing through the gate.

Sticky Mess

Before I could even put together the gate. I first had to scrape off the sticker that covered the front and back of one of the pieces. This took me over an hour because it was so sticky and would not peel off. The warning sticker left sticky residue all over the gate. I had to go out and buy a sticker remover and even then there is still residue and it is still sticky. I haven’t even been able to attempt the other side.

not a good solution

This is a door that we go through regularly so ideally we want to open and close it with one hand. But, the bottom doesn't stay closed and requires a permanent turn down lock to stay in place. The top is never fits into the slot properly and we have to lean on the entire gate to get in place. My 10 year old can't open and close it without trying at least 5 times. The height is nice to keep the cats in, but unfortunately, it aligns with the door handle, so we can't close the door while this gate is in the door frame. I plan to return it.

Bottom Pressure Holders Don’t Work

The bottom screws just stick in a hole, not even attached and so when you screw them out they don’t hold any pressure; therefore doesn’t hold bottom in place. Bad Design. VERY UNHAPPY

Great gate

It works well and is sturdy. Set-up was easy. My dog refuses to try and jump on it so that's good. I just don't like how you have to install wall cups.

EASY INSTALL! Trust the process!!

At first it looks intimidating but once you read the instructions or watch a “how to build” video, SMOOTH SAILING!! It fits perfectly in the hallway and door entry's

2/3 broke within two years and light use

I don’t even use these all the time, the dogs are not hanging off of them like with a child. Two out of three broke within two years. Very disappointing

Extremely disappointed

The bolts included in the box do not fit in this gate. Poorly made. Absolutely would not recommend. I was so anxious to get this in preparation for our new puppy. Could not be more disappointed.

Not sturdy at all

If I could give this product zero stars I would but in order to leave a review I have to give it at least one. The welding on the door is horrible! I had this gate for maybe a month and just from I guess just from opening and closing the door separated completely from the gate. I do NOT recommend this product. I am currently using zip ties to keep it together (which are working better than the weld) in the mean time until I can find something else to replace this gate.

Sturdy

I purchased this for my outside deck. I have a deck on the second story and didn't want my dogs falling down the steps. So with the help from a neighbor we cut an opening in the deck to make this fit and it fits perfectly. We actually put this up because we had steps installed on the deck which we never had before. Now I don't have to worry. It's great and sturdy too.

This is exactly what we were looking for , have two dogs a lab and a small Terri, both of these girls love their new gate. They wait for us to open it to go out and wait for us to let them back in the utility room. The gate fits perfectly in the door way , and we love the way we can open and close it with ease. Definitely would recommend it....easy set up also.

incorrect size

Bought this gate because in the name on chewy it says “35 in”. Every other gate, this number is the height of said gate. So I bought this thinking it was 35 inches tall. Nope. It’s 35 inches wide and 36 inches tall. Then put “36 inches” in the name!! Now this is the second gate I have to get refunded for. So annoying

Happy with this gate purchase!

Very pleased with this gate. I'm using it in a doorway of my home to keep my small dog and cats in a particular area, but not have access to other areas when I'm not in attendance.

Stylish, functional easy to install. I purchased this gate for my "fur baby". He has separation anxiety, does not like to be left alone. I had tried to kennel him on the rare occasions that I left him at home, and he definitely didn't like that. This gate allows me to contain him in my living room and give him some freedom. He loves it ! No more temper tantrums when I'm leaving.

Safety Gate!! AWESOME!!

easy install.. My grandchild did it all by herself. Keeps out puppy where we want him and away from wandering into dangerous situations. Also keeps my youngest grandchild away from stairs. the safety lock on bottom keeps it to where if one of the grand kids figure it out we can still lovk it to fool them

Great Gate-Easy to Assemble-Easy Installation

I am very pleased with this gate. It's just what I was looking for to keep my kitty in the main room. It's made well and sturdy. It was very easy to assemble and put up. I am 62 years old and I had it up in 20 minutes all by myself. It's high enough my kitty can't jump over it and he can't squeeze through the bars. I like it can open both ways and I didn't have to drill holes in my door frame to keep it in place. The compression screws work great, they are tight and keep the gate in place. It's very easy to take down if I need to move it to a different area. It was a great price for a well made gate. It came quickly, it took only 2 days to receive it. I would recommend this baby gate.

My daughter has hit the age where she loves to sneak into the kitchen and empty the cabinets. We live in an old (nearly 100 years old) home, with an open floor plan, so gating off the kitchen is necessary (other rooms can be shut off by doors). We had previously been using a small, plain tension gate that we simply stepped over. But as our daughter grew, she began trying to climb it, and we knew it was only a matter of time. Also, we were tired of having to adjust it and tripping over it all the time--especially when we needed to let the dog in the kitchen. The extra tall arched decor safety gate installed in five minutes, including opening the box. It looks great in our home, and what I love so much is that it does not require any invasive installation, unlike a lot of the other nicer-looking gates we had looked into. It fills the space easily and is very sturdy, without causing any damage to our antique door frame! I really wish we had had this months ago!
