Our A/C man and our home inspector both say get these type of filters because the air flows more easily through them. They said with the more expensive heavier filters you unit has to work harder. They said just be sure you change it monthly.

Great filters, great price
My AC recently got replaced with a modernized unit. Our tech went out of his way to recommend spun fiberglass filters such as these. The reason is that they flow better making the system more efficient. It's all about air flow. This is especially true when dealing with flex ducting. Restrictive filters make your system work harder. If you have allergies, get a stand alone air filter, don't rely on your HVAC to do it or you'll burn it up earlier than needed. Replace these once a month...they're cheap enough to do that
