Seemed like a returned item, the block is in bad condition and cheap looking, wrinkles and scrapes in it

This set is nice. The knives work perfectly. My only gripe is that when washing there is an opening where the blade meets the handle, very tiny but water gets in. If you hold the knives upside down after washing it does leak out but you need to hold each one or get a cup to drain them. I see this causing issues in the wooden holder and to the stainless steel long term. But it does have a good warranty so it may cover it once this issue becomes a problem.

Received damaged. Handles on knives are dented and some are loose already
