Good quality for the price. The checks are two inch checks. I would have preferred one inch or an inch and a half sized checks.

Just what I was looking for

I needed placemats to protect my old wood table from the cold water/ice condensation. I wanted something washable and subtle. These are large enough for all the place settings including water and wine glasses.

Cute however, they did shrink a lot during the wash cycle - they were not put into the dryer. Take that into consideration when purchasing.

Nice look and feel but shrink and wrinkle

Pros: I do appreciate the color palette: nice darker navy blue, lighter blue/gray and soft white - its fun and casual without being too juvenile, and maintains a sense of farmhouse/rustic design and style. Nice, thick cotton material - two layers of material sewn together resulting in a thick placemat that provides cushioning and protection of the countertops from plates and glasses being set down upon them. Cons: They do shrink from the advertised/original 13"x19" size down to 12"x18" in the wash, even with cold water on gentle/delicate cycle. DO NOT USE DRYER or they will shrink even more. I hung them on hangers and air dried them overnight. They come out of the wash a wrinkled mess (see the 2 pics I added), so they NEED to be ironed. The ironing does take out most of the wrinkles but be advised they do retain a bit of a wrinkled texture even after ironing. I got used to the "rustic" look and actually am ok with it given the farmhouse design of my kitchen. (I ironed them while they were still damp, then ironed them again the next morning. That did take most of the wrinkles out and helped to flatten them out again.) However I did receive several with a manufacturing defect; a crease running through them that could not be washed/ironed out. So if you're OK with an actual size of 12"x18" then I do believe these are really attractive, solid feeling, placements.

Excellent quality

we use these everyday, both inside and on our outdoor table. They wash VERY well, almost with NO wrinkles which is really surprising. They are high quality and stains comes out very easily. Would def buy again. I got both grey and black.

I highly recommend these placemats. The colors are vibrant and wash well, no fading. I actually purchases the napkins to these placemats and everything looks really nice together on my kitchen table. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.

Disappointed with these placements. The edges were not cut straight at all, and paid full price for them. Quality control missed this time! Won't order from this brand again.

I also ordered the runner to match these place mats. These were a perfect fit, along with the runner on our long country table. The fabric is rich and durable and the size is a little bigger than the average mats that I have.

Not good

Echoing the other reviewers. These are not washable, even though their tags say they are. They shrank A LOT and became super wrinkled. They look like dolls’ placemats now, and I threw them away.

Different sizes

These are really nice placemats except for the fact that one of them is cut at an angle, not straight, and also at least an inch smaller than the others. I'm sure that sitting across the table it won't be noticeable. Otherwise I'd return.

Do not wash

Not practice for a dinner table. You can't wash them because they shrink so much and wrinkle up. I tried stretching them once out of the washer then ironed once dried but the wrinkles are permanent. Horrible

These are beautiful placemats! Exactly what I was looking for! Very well made with nice heavy fabric! Bold color! I just love them! So happy with my purchase!

Do not wash

Followed washing instructions, used a very light cycle cold water and very low heat in the dryer for only 10 minutes. Placemats shrunk are least an inch all around and is permanently wrinkled. I used an iron and I can't get the wrinkles out at all.

These are great out of the bag and are beautiful on our table. But we have a 4 year old and we purchased them because they are washable. They DO NOT wash well. We never dried them for fear that they would shrink but they look awful after washing. If we still had a. Iron I could probably do something but I don't feel like ironing place mats.

These are seriously so cute!! I wasn't sure what to get to match my table that I also ordered on this site, but then I found these! I got a great deal on them since I was able to stack coupons, and the quality of the fabric is better than I expected. They are also a little larger than I thought, but it works perfect for my new table. I would recommend these to anyone :)

These look great and don’t wrinkle. Nice size to fit plate, silverware, and glassware. They add a nice contrast to my kitchen and wash up has been great- no wrinkles but I dry on low heat with few items in dryer.

Great, But..

These place mats are really awesome, perfect for a country kitchen theme, but I ordered the same design in the tablecloth and matching placemats made it all a little to busy. So, I returned these for a solid red. They are really very nice and would go great with a solid color red or white tablecloth. Even thought I returned them, I would highly recommend!
