This matched very well to my existing railings. I did have to reposition the railing support brackets to match my existing railing, but, it was not a problem for me.

Bought various posts and railings, all were quality welds and finishes. No issues at all.

it was not clear that the post already had flat caps so i ordered the only caps they had but did not need them. Also the post base cover plates do snap or lock into place so we has a real windy day and it moved a couple of them away from the bases. Otherwise they look good when installed and are very secure. I can’t say how they will hold up against rust yet as they are new but I am hoping they preform as advertised. Overall I am happy with the inital product though i do wish the 2 piece plates that wrap the base of the post would clip or snap into place to be a little more secure.

The base cover plate broke during shipping. Home Depot doesn't stock the model for the cover plate we needed, and we were on a time crunch, so couldn't really return the entire product and wait for a replacement. Fortress ignored warranty claim and placed onus on Home Depot to correct. Had to order part from a separate retailer for $25. The post itself is great.

As advertised. Sturdy, well made.

At last the product was perfect in every way. On time, on cost and undamaged.

[Rewarded Review] High quality stair railing

This is a very nice heavy duty steel stairway fence panel. All the hardware required amount it to a pole above and below including the pole above and below is solds separately. You get a package of all the hardware, can you get the pole which is a very nice steel pole that can anchor two wood or concrete and everything looks high quality and is of a very decent strength.

[Rewarded Review] Solid steel fence section and posts

I didn't by have much to write about this fence section, yet. It's -17F here with snow, so we haven't been able to put up the gate. However, the fence section, itself is very smooth and solid. The posts are major posts. They are hollow tubes with bases meant to secure to cement or wood. I didn't expect that. I figured they would just be poles. The fence arrived in a pallet well wrapped. The only weird thing was the delivery people sent a semi to deliver it and we live in the country with dirt roads and a 1/4 mile driveway. So, when the driver got here, I just walked down the driveway to the road in the 50 mile an hour wind gusts and it took both of us to get the 9 ft pallet off the truck and drag it inside our fence. Not the fence company's fault, just a funny story. I look forward to warm weather, thawed soil and a new fence! 🙂

[Rewarded Review] Top of the line stair railing!

Fortress has nailed it with their version of a wrought iron railing! The Fe26 Axis 34 in. H x 6 ft. W Black Steel Railing Stair Panel I found to be of superior quality because as soon as i picked it up it reminded me of the solidity and weighiness of the wrought irons rails we had at our previous home. The welding is perfect -no blobs or rough edges. The color is Black Sand which is not the mundane glossy finish you see everywhere. The stair rail has very detailed installation instructions online and even shows how to reinforce the wooden deck floor under the end support posts -nice. Its now January so this wont be installed for a while yet but we are confident it will be easy to install in the springtime and that it will last through our storms and the summer sun. 5 Stars
