Great quality Barstool
This is an easy to assemble barstool and looks like a high quality seat. Great logo and script. Since I can't afford a Custom Shop Fender, this will have to do!
Easy Assembly
Assembly was a breeze. I used my own 10mm wrench for tightening the four bolts to the swivel bracket but the supplied allen wrenches worked just fine for the other fasteners. The key is to wait until all bolts are in place and the stool legs are settled in flat on the floor before tightening everything up.
Prince refused to authorize return shipping
Refused return shipping. It was the shortest one available so I assumed it would be appropriate for a classical guitar stool. It was not. It was too high for my height. Useless to me as it is not adjustable. Returned as new out of the box and still refused return shipping. Will have to find one from a "friendlier" guitar shop
Poor quality stool
I bought this stool for practice after my order was cancelled for the 24" for being out of stock. It took quite a bit of bending to the tubing to get it to sit reasonably strait. While tightening the seat down one of the bolts broke in half before it even began to tighten. Unless you have an affinity for junk I would look elsewhere. It might look ok in the music room as long as no one sits on it.
Once assembled, this stool does the job and is quite attractive. However, it is a beast to get to that point. I'm no slouch when it comes to assembling furniture, but this stool is poorly designed; lots of bending and squeezing to get bolt holes to line up (I think I exacerbated a shoulder injury doing this); bolts that stick out because the hole isn't deep enough; a cheap Allen wrench/key that was stripped and useless pretty quickly (fortunately I have my own tool kit). I'm *really* surprised and disappointed that Fender would put their name on this. Manny's were great and offered to accept a return, so this is no reflection on them.
Product quality sucks
This project was nearly impossible to put together, no pieces fit, and it wobbles like no ones business. The rubber foot stops are cheap and lopsided. I have spent 3 hours trying to assemble two of these. Their next stop is my garbage can. Completely JUNK
I had waited a while before taking the plunge. But it was worth it, the stool is easier to use than the chair. Like some previous reviews, I would say that assembly is easier if there are two of you.
Looks and works really well. Bit of a faff to put together but otherwise highly recommended. Btw, I have seen some reviews where people have threaded the bolts putting this stool together. If you use the correct bolts in the correct holes and aren’t ham-fisted I can’t see how you could possible mess this up.
Very disappointed
Was junk no hardware to put together. Was a used store demo with the felt tore loose on bottom of seat. Really disappointed. Had to return and settle for something I didn't really want. After all the money I've spent and time waiting I think I deserve a couple guitar center t-shirts size XL
Assembly Required
The stool is fine, once I assembled it. It's a stool. It's sturdy. It swivels. The graphics are nice yet not gaudy.
Unfortunately the bolts that came with my stool were too short to bring together the different pieces of the product and after an hours frustration of trying to man handle the thing together I had to go to Screwfix to purchase longer bolts. Once I had them then it all came together nicely and the product is as advertised. Perfect height and size for playing guitar, just a shame about the bolts.
Solid barstool
This is a great barstool for guitar practice. Nice height, swivel top, attractive design, solid feel. The padding is not very thick... but good for an hour or so of practice. The provided assembly tools were soft metal...allen key "rounded off" before all screws were tightened (but it did protect the Allen screw heads!)
Nice stool but not as pictured
I didnt realize at the time of purchasing there was 3 different pictures in the listing I purchased from. I was focused on the one I liked with the pin striping along the side of the cushion. It even said pinstriped in the title. It also says it on the box it was shipped in. There is absolutely 0 pinstripes on this product. Was kinda bummed. But its a stout little practice stool
Solid
Product is solid and easy to assemble. The seat part looks a bit different than what is shown in the picture. While the website shows it being more flat, the actual part is round. The finishing on the black seat also looks different.
What you see if not what you get
If you buy this product, you won't get what appears in the picture. You won't get the guitar graphics around the side. The side is just plain black. Also the seat won't say "When You're Ready". Instead it will say "Corona, California". Also the description states thick pad. This is not the case. The stool has about 3/4 of an inch of lower density foam that compresses down to nothing when you sit on it. So you're basically sitting on wood. If the designers would reduce the seat height by about 1/2 of an inch of wood and add 2 inches of medium density foam padding, then I would say this stool is ideal. The way the padding is, after about 20 minutes, you need to get up off it.
Nice looking stool.
Overall a good looking stool. I use this typically when playing guitar in front of a music sheet stand holding tab sheets. I selected this model over the glossier, shiny coated versions available. Nice design. Very firm cushion; not sure how that will be for extended periods but so far so good. Only negative I can note is that the chrome foot ring came with scratches despite being protected for shipping by a plastic bag material. Both sides of the ring had the light scratches all around it, otherwise it would have been rated 5 stars. I'm sure this will happen with the first shoe that rests on or drags across it anyway, only shoe less use to date.
Easy Assembly
Pretty much straight forward; easy assembly in about 20 minutes or so. I like the swivel seat, and the chrome appears
GREAT BARSTOOL
I bought two of these stools on sale. They were less than sixty dollars each. They are very good quality compared to other ones I've seen in the store. I believe they are vinyl but the are not the shiny, cheap vinyl like the others. Looks like "pleather". Good value for the price. I am 6'-6" and the 24" stool is perfect for practicing guitar. I do not recommend the 30" stool unless you are over 7'-0" tall.
Go for it. I love mine.
Great product. Looks and feels sooo good. Hope it wears as good as it looks. Must be assembled which is not difficult, but I highly recommend you do not use included "tools" supplied with the hardware. I used my Allen wrench set and socket set and took me about 10 minutes.
Classy looking guitar stool for not a lot of dough
I wanted a stool for playing my guitars while sitting, something without arms to get in my way,and with a rung to prop my right foot on to elevate the guitar to a comfortable height for playing. I also wanted something that wasn't tacky looking, and this definitely fits the bill. I found it very easy to assemble (I assembled it in between checking on meat I was cooking on the gas grill...took about 20 minutes). I've been loving it ever since!
