excellent product

I recommended this air filtration system to our kids who live in Portland Oregon. It was useful during the winter months to help keep the air fresh inside their homes and also during the summer fire season when the smoke was very heavy in Portland

Good *sniff* filters

These are one square foot air filters, what more is there? They DO come with the "U" prefilter installed, which makes it an even better buy. 3M builds are lot more good stuff than most people realize.

Great air clearing especially with wild fire pollu

Love this in my home. I have hot water heating and no air ducts, so this is how I clean the air!

It's okay, but...

Eh, it's a filter. I suppose it works somewhat, but be mindful of the Sq. Ft. of the room you wish to treat.

Great filter

This filter has caught so much! We typically use the cheaper filters due to is going easy on our old AC unit but we have had lots of dust in our home so I used this for a month and noticed a huge difference.

I like this product alot. I have to change mine monthly. I wish there was a washable version as it would be better for the environment since I cannot recyle the filters. I use this in a large machine.

USeless filter

Lowes recommended this filter with a Alen air purifier, in combination with a spare Alen filter. The Filtrete filter does not fit the Alen purifier. The combination is a gimmick. So Lowes gets a 1. I have no idea how the Filtrete filter is it does not fit in the Alen Purifer and it will be returned.

HORRIBLE SMELL

I have used these filters for the past 5 years or so and they have been wonderful, however I purchased 3 of these filters approximately 2 weeks ago and I cannot use them. They have a HORRIBLE smell to them, it's almost like they have been soaked in some kind of oil. I put the filter in and turned on my air purifier and immediately my house started to smell like oil, and it took 2 days for it to clear out. I have asthma and bad sinus problems and the smell from these filters stayed in my nose for days. I called Filtrete to complain and of course they did nothing to remedy the problem. I guess I will be purchasing another brand of air purifier from another company.

Delighted with my Filtrete Filters!

Severe allergy sufferer here! The Filtrete filter is fitted for all of my HEPA air purifying machines by Filtrete, medium and large size. It has a charcoal layer which is always helpful for removing odors while the filter cleans the air. I only use Filtrete filters in my home, and I only buy them from Lowes. I love the fact that Lowe's usually has a bulk purchase discount on them plus 5% off when using Lowe's store card.

Filtrete HEPA Air Filter

This product is a HEPA air filter that does a good job of keeping the air clear in my house, which is near Dulles Airport. Didn't realize that clean air was going to be the issue it is when I bought this house, but this product cleans things up for me. It's excellent.

Vest Filters for IDYLIS

Well, finally someone got it right. 3M and this filtrate product has the prefilter is already cut and intact on the HEPA filter, making it so much easier to change out, and the fit is so perfect, no polluted dusty air can get through, as was the case on previous filters. I have 3 IDYLIS air cleaners in my condo, 2 that require I size C and 1 size D and I have one that requires 2 size C filter. These are by far the best filters I have ever purchased for my IDYLIS air cleaners. Way to go Lowe’s.

We have used this filter for 5 years now. It lasts about 6 months each time. We use it in the bedroom at night and it filters the air while we sleep. It helps to lessen the effect of pollen and other irritants in the air and gives us a good nights sleep. It seems to be the best during Spring and Fall when our allergies really get going.

I have been buying these for years. It use to only come with just the HEPA filter and had to buy the black filter separately. Now it comes with the black filter and is the same price. This is great since the store stopped selling the black filters that is needed. This is a great improvement and helps with our allergies!

Go Back... The future filter is not as long-lasting as the old type. They may look same but they are not. Attaching the carbon filter onto the heap filter (white color) doesn't last. When I was purchasing them separately, products lasted twice as long. Now it seems like I am changing filters every week cause of lack of airflow and the inability to change carbon filter (black color) as needed.

I bought this as a replacement for my Filtrete air purifier. I enjoy this system because my apartment smells fresher when it is running. The life of the filter will last longer if you don't run the purifier constantly, but I run mine all the time and it lasted 3 months (I am in El Paso). I have used other products, but this is the only one I can tell a difference when it is not running.

We've had our Idylis air purifier for YEARS. When I ordered these replacement filters this time, the outer carbon filter is now included with the D filter. It's nice that the carbon filter fits exactly, but I don't like the fact that I can't buy the carbon filter separately now. Because that outer filter gets dirtier faster than the inner filters and I replace the carbon more often. DISAPPOINTED. I hope they go back to selling them separately

The fact that this filter fits so many different air purifiers is a huge bonus. Works extremely well, lasts a long time, and holds up to the insane dust in our area. Additionally, it can hold its own against our 4 large dogs. Very pleased!
