Great toy for toddlers
I bought this for my GreatGrandDaughter who is 18 months old and she really enjoyed it and it was something we could assist a very independent toddler with.
Making a child smile and sing
I truly did love the music box, we had one and this brings back memories from my son childhood. This was purchased for my granddaughter on her first visit to my home. My son enjoyed playing with it as much as his daughter did. We love the nursery rhymes from the innocent child’s life.
Great old toy
Bought this for a great granddaughter she loves it
Terrible quality
This toy lasted all of 5 months. I had one previously that i bought in 2009, that lasted 14 years, through several grandchildren, and finally died in 2023. i bought this current one as a gift for my grandson's 1st birthday, and he is crushed that it doesn't work anymore.
happy
its a birthday gift, she hasnt gotten it yet. But, she loves music. this is a great gift for her.
I had the same item when I was a little girl 👧. It's so fun to see the classics being brought back for new generations of families to enjoy.
My Grandson loves this toy
I bought this for my 18 month old grandson because during a recent visit he was carrying record after record over to my son and indicating that he wanted them played. He seemed to love the ritual and hardly listened to the music. I sent him this record player and my son and his partner say it is now his favourite toy. I cannot wait to visit so that I can see him playing his very own record player.
Good value for the price
My 2-1/2 year old great niece loves this. She quickly figured out just how to use it. Just wish you could purchase additional records/songs.
Retro Music Box Record Player
My grandkids l9ve this item. Its very nostalgic for me. I love this item.
Not the same as the original!
Although the record player looks identical to the original version (1970s?) it is very different in its sound production. The old one was like a music box in that the music was produced mechanically. No batteries. You had to keep it going by winding it up and the sound was the same sound that you get from a music box involving pins and 'plucking'. The modern plastic is much more shiny and very smooth compared with the old plastic. It still has to be wound up to turn the turntable but the sound is produced through a speaker using battery power. Therefore it sounds (rather disappointingly) different. BUT if you're not familiar with the 'old' sound, you will be delighted with it PLUS you get 10 songs (as there are 2 on each record) instead of only 4 or was it 5 with the old one? Can't remember. Anyway a lot more!
Exactly what I had as a child
I remember this record player from my childhood and I loved it then. My granddaughter loves playing with the record player.
Exactly the same
If I had a grandchild I'd be getting this. I had this as a child. I loved it! It's exactly the same
Granddaughter happy
My granddaughter loves it
nostalgic
i had one of they music players when i was a child in 1990 n now i could buy one for my girl n she loves it as much as a did
Had one of these!
Discription did not mention batteries. What a hassle! Likes the old version better, more interaction
Learn while being entertained!
I bought this for my almost 2 year old granddaughter. She is so obsessed with this that her parents have to hide it so she will go to bed. She has figured out the hiding spot and points to that spot when she wakes up! I love it that she loves music!
Kids love it
Great
Disappointed
I had an original-this is now a copy that has a turn knob but operates in batteries and has 5 records that do not all store in compartment provided and does not include the Edelvise song-disappointing!
Item is great
Item as described, no issues would recommend
item is wonderful!
my great grandson played with it at christmas. he is only 16 months old and likes the music
