Upon reviewing again 17.75"w x 20"d is not the seat size it is where the legs meet the floor. If it had been published the actual seat size, as other stools are, I would not have purchased this. So this is my fault for the misinterpretation. But, the weight limit according to the manufactures label underneath the stool is 225#s not 500#s. The bottom of the legs do not adjust as another reviewer stated. The quality is there and the packing prevented any dings or scratches. In the end this is still going to be returned. Bottom line is if you want a larger seat this is not for you.

Solid chair for the money

Solid, heavy-duty chair that should last a long time. Tips on bottom of legs let you adjust for uneven surfaces. Easy to put together with the tools (screws & hex key) included. Can use without the back too. Only con is that the seat area is pretty small if you have a large backside! ;)

Great chair

We ordered the orange metal counter stool to go in our new kitchen where it sits at our butlers pantry and also serves as an extra chair to pull up to our island when we have a crowd. It adds a nice bit of color to our kitchen. The orange is a great color - a subdued orange, not bright construction orange. The chair is solid and feels indestructible, which is great given our two kids and two dogs. It works really well with the 4 distressed bronze counter-height bar stools we also ordered for our island. A great set and nice to have a little mismatch and color in our new kitchen.

Love My Chairs

I absolutely love these chairs. Love the color, height, design and they fit on a small patio with incredible perfection and style. I have one big problem. My queen size bottom is too large for the chair. When guests come I send the larger bottoms to the blue lower chairs and table. Even had to switch like musical chairs according to the size of the bottoms which show up. The truth is I don't want to return them because I love them, so, maybe playing musical bottoms will help exercise those who just might need it. Love my green chairs.
