Sleek, Simple, Black!

I love the simplistic design. Easy to assemble. Non-upholstered headboards are hard to find. I do wish it was actual wood. The headboard is really short. My bedframe is 18 inches tall, so I had to modify the height.

Not impressed with finish. On opening the box parts had areas not covered by the wood-like paint. One large scratch- which I did cover with a black magic marker. Along all edges the finish rubs or chips off. Also impossible to attach to most metal frames without drilling new holes on the front of the headboard.

Scratch

Drilled holes on back only and no screws for that. Scratch on first board. I put it together in 2 hours. Using it without screwing to bed. Holds up good because its lightweight.

Style and Value!

I checked this same headboard out on several sites, Walmart had the best price. My neighbours put it together for me easily. In under 20 minutes, it was up and functional. Looked exactly like the picture. Very happy with my purchase.

Very pretty, good price!

The quality is great for the price. works well with our modern farmhouse look. Easy assembly. But: have yourself an electric screwdriver ready, otherwise it may take days?!

Terrible Chemical Smell

Terrible chemical smell and missing piece. The headboard has been gassing off for a week. Horrible chemical smell. Look up VCOs and cheap furniture, didn't know about it until this purchase.. The headboard itself is objectively fine for the price but you bring in toxic chemicals by having this in your house. Then they also ended up shipping the headboard without the center piece to it.

Pros quick delivery, it was in stock, instructions were decently easy to understand. Assembly was easy, variety of colorsfinishes. It’s light weight, great design

Great Price if you can assemble this yourself

The online description buries the fact that this is "Ready To Assemble." I probably would not have ordered this if I realized that. But that's on me. I am not typically crafty enough to assemble... but i decided to try, and it came out great!

Too cheaply made... look elsewhere

Looks great BUT this is really cheaply made. No solid wood. All chipboard. The center panel is an even cheaper cardboard piece that my 10 yr son easily broke when i startled him. Luckily I had an almost identical shaded piece from a book shelf I bought and I replaced it. This thing has to be placed against a wall or it will wobble to much. I don't expect it too last. Definitely would NOT recommend. I would have returned it but I've already thrown out the packaging.

Bedboard attachment

The queen-size bed board fits the queen bed, as it should. The problem was lining up the screws to the bed frame and the board itself. This did not work well at all. The bed board is barley attached to the frame and could easily fall down. We did a "mcgiver move", and for now it is just OK. The next buyer should be aware of this difficulty.

Good headboard for the price

Box arrived intacted and well packaged. All pieces were inside. Constructing the headboad took about one hour by myself (66 year old female). The hb is heavy for one person to maneuver.

A few surprises

I was happy to receive this earlier than expected, but surprised (not shocked) to find that it needed assembly. I was also surprised to find out how heavy this headboard is. Of course, it's heavy because it is made from MDF. This think is so heavy that the bed hardware for attaching a headboard doesn't support it without some wobbling. Also, be aware that you need to have your own bolts, washers, and nuts for attaching the headboard to your bed. All that said, the headboard looks nice.

Beautiful Hotel-Like Headboard

The headboard is simple, minimalist, and looks fantastic- like something in a hotel. Very solid, doesnt move even just squeezed between the bed and wall Amd not bolted to the metal frame. . I used it with dark brown wood and black wrought iron- night tables and looks very coordinated. I have also mixed this color wood with light yellow pine because the knots in the pine are the same dark brown. This headboard requires assembly- and the instructions specify the two side pieces flipped the wrong way- but as long as all the finished sides face the same direction you will be good to go.

Decent headboard for the price

This headboard does not come with the hardware to attach it to the bed frame and the top of the headboard came with a scratch. Other than these two items, the bed is of decent quality for the price. Was easy to assemble. Love the color, it is in between gray and brown. I wanted to order the headboard first to verify the color and quality. Will be ordering the matching nightstands. And contacting the company to send out a replacement piece that was scratched and suggest that they include the hardware to attach to the bed frame in their future orders...

Exactly what I wanted!

It arrived quickly and was easy to assemble on my own. The parts weren't labeled but I was able to determine which was which by matching up the holes in each to the pictures in the instruction booklet. Only a screwdriver was needed to put the headboard together but you will need a drill to attach it to your bed frame since the "pre-drilled holes" didn't go all the way through. I wish the description online specifically stated that it doesn't include hardware to attach to a bed frame. Otherwise, I would have made sure to purchase that before I began assembling it, instead of having to stop to go to the hardware store. And there was a minor chip to the finish on one piece that I was able to camouflage with wood stain I already owned. But those minor inconveniences don't lessen the final product.

Cute and budget friendly

I purchased the queen sized white headboard and it looks so great! This headboard is perfect if you’re looking for something to bring the room together looks wise. It was fairly easy to assemble but is easiest when you have two people. It is thin and not super sturdy (can’t really lean against it and it does wobble when you move around) that should be expected - this is a budget friendly way to make your bed look nice. My only other complaint is that it doesn’t come with the parts to attach the headboard to your bed frame. I also had to drill some holes in the headboard to attach it to my bed frame. Overall I think this is a great product and budget friendly, but it might require a little bit of elbow grease (but it’s worth it).

Lovely bed frame

This bedframe is super high-quality and very elegant looking. Installation was rather straightforward however if you purchase the headboard along with the frame there are no instructions or parts to attach the two . I called Prepac to get instructions and they said an engineer would get in touch with me to advise. About two days later an engineer sent me an email saying they have no guidance on how to attach the two pieces together. I ultimately figured it out myself by using 3 inch long Carriage bolts, washers and nuts but I had to drill the holes myself to adjoin the pieces. Ultimately I'm very happy with the finished product but I would've liked for these two coordinating pieces to have been manufactured to work together right out of the box.

(Gray) We bought this headboard will the Prepac Queen bed with drawers. Comes in one package and took about 10 days to receive. Assembly was simple; your own tools required. Color matches perfectly, however the holes are only for metal frames and there are not any that match up with the queen bed we bought. You will have to buy hardware and know where the existing hardware is located in your bed in order to measure and screw in even with the same company manufacturing it. The middle section of the headboard is thin particle board and is held in place by 16 screws rather than nails, so hopefully this will make it less likely to push out. The back of the headboard is not meant to be seen at all for much of it is unfinished. The front of the headboard looks great though. As with the bed I reviewed, I would recommend this headboard for adults who are younger or first-time buyers who want something that looks pleasant without being too expensive.
