This is a great rolling pin. It is easily maneuvered, pivots easily and allows one to create a uniformed thickness of dough. Also because it is one piece it is easily cleaned.

This rolling pin is made from a beautiful piece of maple. It is well-made, the same size on each end, and has a very smooth finish. Maple is a hard wood that is perfect for a rolling pin.

I got a French-Style Rolling
I got a French-Style Rolling Pin a year and a half ago and am very glad I did. I bake a lot and have used it for everything; bread, cookies, pie crust, tortillas, and even for tenderizing meat. It still has the glossy like-new shine and is extremely reliable. Because it's one piece I don't have the problem with rusty screws, bits of dough getting up in the handle where it won't wash out, and don't have to look forward to the day when it will fall apart, or heard the relentless squeaking of the handles when it gets old (problems I've had with my countless other rolling pins!). I have many friends and relatives comment on how interesting it is and quite a few ask where I got it. I could go on and on about how great this product is and really can't understand why anyone would want any other kind. Hands down this is the single best rolling pin ever, well worth the price.

I have been using my rolling pin for the pest 4 years and it still looks brand new. Not a scratch on it yet I bake 4 times a week. It's one of those kitchen gadgets I couldn't manage without.
My rolling pin did not
My rolling pin did not come glazed, as shown, which is the only reason I gave it 4 lanterns. I bought the small one and it is exactly perfect.
