Outstanding bookcase! Well made, sturdy and good quality. Recommended to assemble with 2 people but I did it solo with no problem. Directions were easy to follow and it even comes with spare parts.

Beautiful Furniture

I love the style and sturdiness of these shelves. They set the tone of my office/library space and make a fantastic backdrop in my Zoom meetings. Easy to assemble, but would have been easier with 2 people since they are real wood and not particle board.

Beautiful bookcase - Horrible sticker placement

Beautiful bookcase that's perfect for our room and exactly what I was looking for. However: this sticker took half a bottle of Goo-gone and about 20 minutes to remove. PLEASE place it elsewhere since it's so hard to remove.

Very nice looking bookcase

We bought two matching bookcases to go in our living room. They look beautiful and did not take long to put together! The most frustrating part was getting stickers/glue off a visible part of the bookcase.

Very pleased with this bookcase. Nice details and a nice chestnut brown. Came quickly and packaged well. My husband got it together in about 45 minutes. Only problem is trying to get the huge sticker off. Would highly recommend this bookcase!

Exactly how it was described. Received it 2 days early. No damage and all the parts were included. This product is sturdy. Beautiful piece.

Item was defective. Side panels were different sizes making the unit wobbly and unsteady and the back panel was 3" too short making it unable to be screwed together. It was purchased as a gift and the recipient had quality concerns so they did not want it replaced, just returned. Wayfair insisted that I pay the return shipping even though the item was defective.

The bookcase is beautiful and assembly is very straight forward and simple. The cams on the other hand were not the best I have ever used and locking them properly was problematic. One broke but thankfully an extra package of hardware came with the bookcase. All in all it’s a decent piece of furniture.

For the price point, this was super disappointing. Cheap, lightweight particle board. Came scuffed. Had a huge warning sticker in an extremely visible place that took me over an hour to remove. The back panel is super thin plywood that doesn’t line up with screw holes… you’ll need a power tool to assemble or you’ll get carpal tunnel, and if you accidentally put a screw in at an angle like I did it will rip through and become visible from the front of the unit. I would return but baby is coming in two weeks and I just don’t have the time to mess with switching this out. Would not recommend.

The Simpli Home Amherst Bookcase fits our decor very well. The quality of the bookcase is better than I thought it would be. I purchased two of the bookcases and their build quality was excellent and they went together very well. They are sturdy and hold my books with no sign of sag considering the weight of my books. I highly recommend these for their quality, ease of assembling, and good looks.

It’s been less than 3 months since we’ve purchased 2 of the 70” x 30” Mccoppin bookcases and we’re very disappointed in the quality (given the cost of the bookcases). Both bookcases have started to crack in several places (and one bookcase shipped to us with a crack in the wood on the side but we figured it was too much of a hassle to return it). We purchased the bookcases because we liked the style and thought they would be much sturdier (product description indicates each shelf can hold up to 80 lbs). We are using to bookcases to hold substantially less weight (e.g. children’s books, picture frames, and small knick knacks). We don’t recommend these bookcases. Quality control needs significant improvements.

I bought two of these: one on each side of the TV in our living room. They complement our other furniture well. They are sturdy partly because they come with a way to keep them from tipping over in case a child climbs on them. My husband put one together in about an hour, and the second one went together even easier the next day. I didn't notice any smell of varnish which some other customers noted. I'm very happy! They are a good product worth the money. I only wanted solid wood, not veneer or manufactured wood, and these fit the bill. I have books, games, and a few decorative items on all five of the shelves. They are beautiful and fit our space perfectly.
