Great molding
Excellent product, easy to work with, glues up well, takes paint great. Stronger than MDF, approximately as strong as pine. I will be buying more in the future. I was concerned about the short lengths causing too many butt joints but I cut the ends on an angle, and glued them together on a flat surface before instalation. After some sanding and paint the seams are invisible and the molding looks like plaster. Very satisfied.
inconsistent size, difficult to work with
I must have gotten molding from 2 different batches, the top edge of the molding is easily more than 1/8 inch different from one piece to another. The thickness also varied from one piece to another: making it harder to flush glue multiple sections. It only comes in 8 foot sections so a lot of extra gluing/ matching pieces will be required. This is made more problematic by the size and shape inconsistencies. It twists and made it a pain to cut, fit, and fasten. Final look is ok but I will be using a different material and manufacturer for the rest of my house.
