One of the few ATX cases that take an optical drive. The front door can easily be hinged on the right or left as required. The side panels can be removed without taking out screws and overall the design and airflow is great.

[Rewarded Review] One of the best cases I've used

I selected a Fractal case a few years back for a home build and like it enough that I now frequently use Fractal in builds for my lab. They tend to be reasonably quiet, very well thought out, and a pleasure to work in. Build quality is very good, and the define 7 line is one of the best cases I've ever used. This is a very flexible case, and you can modify it for many different types of builds although for major changes you will spend a fair amoutn of time taking it apart and putting it back togehter. The manuals aren't particularly helpful for this, but Fractal has a pretty good line of videos that make obvious what the manual does not. I've only had one warranty issue and Fractal took care of it right away.

Behemoth Case by Fractal.

My daily work horse. Huge case. Beautiful minimalist design. Tough and Strong built quality. The front panel can be hinged on the left or right side. The biggest stand out feature for me is the sound deadening this case has. I literally cannot hear my System running whilst performing demanding task, honestly really impressive case by Fractal!

get your tape measure out first ?

The first thing which hit me after receiving this case is that this is a big case , instead of the full tower getting higher this case grows in length.

[Rewarded Review] IT'S A TANK!!!!

I tripped and fell while carrying a very old and heavy Antec case. Crushed it and some ribs, and needed to replace it. After much research and Chatgpt, I got this box. What a joy putting a new system in place. I actually had some room to install about anything I wanted. I replaced their fans with Noctura's (needed PWM), removed the filter screen on the bottom and top, added an 80mm fan to draw air over the M.2 SSD on the back, and modified the top for a single fan and foam core. Added some casters (very small locking ones) as this case gets heavy very quickly. With the sound deaden and steel construction, I have a quiet case next to me.

A highly configurable, quiet case

This is a great case because of its large number of assembly options, but that also makes it a bit complicated. Once you understand how everything goes together it's quite nice and allows you to do a number of interesting things. Most of the panels snap on and off making it easy to open up to add or change things. It's also very quiet with noise dampening on all the panels.

[Rewarded Review] The Do-Anything Case

This case is the ultimate do-anything case at a reasonable price. Room for anything you want, easy to use, flexible options for cooler mounting and wire management, really good price -- at least @ B&H! I have had two Threadripper 7000 builds in this, one with an ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI and one with an ASUS Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE platform and this case perfect for both. The only thing I would say is that I do a complete Noctua fan swap on this thing (6x 140mm (A14) on the intakes (front/bottom) and rear exhaust and 4x 120mm (A12) on the top exhaust for a 360mm radiator and the extra space). It's great to have so much room for fan options.

[Rewarded Review] Great case

Great case. Easy to cable manage. Good airflow. Same case that Puget Systems is building the editing rigs in right now. This is my second case. First had white interior. Still in great shape and using both. If I was building another workhorse computer, I'd buy another case.

[Rewarded Review] Big, but not big enough

Extremely nice case. Incredible engineering. But with a full side ATX MB, oversized RTX 4090, and a even more oversized water cooling system, there wasn't room for an optical drive. That need was fulfilled with an OWC Mercury enclosure.

[Rewarded Review] The ultimate workstation case experience

This case does everything you could ask for, and does it well. I removed all the internal cages/trays and have it set up with ten fans, six 140mm Noctuas and four 120mms with a 360mm AIO. It makes it easy to get good airflow, everything is simple to work with and well thought out. I don't really have any complaints... looks sharp, too. I like the simple, understated look.

[Rewarded Review] Outstanding value and quality

This is the first PC case I've purchased in 5+ years and I'm really impressed with how far we've come with case design and quality.

[Rewarded Review] Infinitely configurable but not fully tool less

The case is generally well designed and engineered. It offers many configuration options but it does have reasonable limits.

[Rewarded Review] I love it

Be aware that this case is really massive and heavy. But if that's what you're after, I can't think of any better alternative.

Server Build

Purchased to house a Supermicro X9DRE-TF+. Fits with plenty of space for CPU heatsinks (2 x Thermalright Frost Tower 120) and also able to configure to HDD tower layout. Leaving this case in the shipped layout would plenty of room for water cooling.

[Rewarded Review] Fully Customizable

For the first time, I decided to pay more than the minimum for a case. After spending years cutting my fingers and wrestling cables, I decided it was time for a change. After looking into many options, I landed on the Design 7. I can't recommend it enough. So many setup options, so many places for fans, you can even swap out the top panel of the case for different airflow options. I have more fans that I've ever been able to fit into a case, but the sound dampening features keep it the quietest computer I've ever built. I highly recommend this case.

Excellent case

Made a build with a Ryzen 7600 and RTX 4080. Everything fit well. Building was simple and cable management was easy. If you're using a long GPU like a RTX 4080 check your model will fit since I had a tight fit with mine and 2x 140mm intake fans. I also have 2x 120mm exhaust fans which easily fit. I didn't plan on using the stock fans so can't comment of their performance.

Beautifully designed case, versatile, solid and robust and very well thought out. It is on the large side, but I haven't found that a problem on top of my desk and it makes internal access so much easier - access is even more enhanced with the top section being mostly removable. And it's quiet too. I would prefer the front IO ports to be either vertical or covered in some way so that dust doesn't build up in them (which it does) but it seems difficult to get any modern case to have this feature - another battle lost for common sense.

Solid Case With Tons of Room

I used this case for a new gaming build. The case is solid metal and is heavy. Not in a bad way, just solid. It is logically built, and all of the parts come off easily as you would expect. The fans run quiet (which is nice) although I haven't yet slammed the PC in a way that would jump the heat and cause the fans to ramp. The case is huge, and there is a ton of open space after the build. I'm running a ROG 790 with a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax cooler and the case is still 50% open space.

[Rewarded Review] Great Server Enclosure

The attention to detail regarding most if not all of the features with this case is fantastic. While this case is modular in its build diversity. This review will be discussing the case in its server orientation. Fractal have nailed the feature list for an enclosure that is focused towards a home server build.

Fantastic case - Unfortunately 2nd hand kit sent

Amazing case. Silent with 5 HDDs in for my NAS. However, Scan sent me 2nd hand kit. As I needed the case desperately I couldn't be bothered shipping it back. It's a massive shame as it meant the case had some minor scuffs on the front, a missing screw on the moveable HDD/Pump mounting case piece. I noticed this shortly after delivery as the side tape was already cut, and the box was held closed with a single piece of tape put over the top.
