Not Much Joy

This particular shelf was so poorly designed that it did not make it onto the wall. The idea seemed great but after assembling the peices, I realized that the particle board breaks apart before you can even hang it up. Do Not Buy.

Affordable decorative shelf

It’s exactly as expected. It’s not an expensive piece and it is relatively flimsy. It can hold light items and is mostly decorative. It works for my purposes.

Nice and functional design

The way I expected. Great for money. Good design. I put it into my guest bathroom, and worked great for all little things that you need to keep in a bathroom and never have enough space.

Great corner shelf! Tricky to mount.

This product is quite nice. As other reviewers mentioned, it is a bit flimsy, but this is to be expected as the shelves are made of compressed wood. If you want a sturdier shelf I suggest you add some wood glue before screwing the panels together and that will do the job. Additionally, because this is compressed wood the edges of the panels will be a bit discolored, but I used a wood stain pen to darken them and everything looked great afterwards. Assembly is quite easy and a one person job, however, the mounting will require some assistance. Instead of marking the drill holes with a pencil, I had someone hold the shelf exactly where I needed it and drilled through the panel holes to ensure I got the exact placement of where the screws go. You then remove the shelf and drill exactly where the marks on the wall are, this will ensure you have the exact placement. Word of advice: do not use the 1/4 drill bit the instructions state, it will be too large and your screw and entire shelf will fall off. Instead I went a size down and used a 7/32 drill bit and that was perfect for the wall anchor. The screws included seem a bit short to drill into the wall, however, you can use longer anchors and screws to make this shelf sturdier and ensure it doesn't fall off the wall. I bought this shelf with a discount and based on the price I paid it was totally worth it.

It’s ok shelf for it’s price. Looks good. Not a high quality product but that’s why that much. Few scratches on the shelf’s but did not want to call customer service for it.

I liked the aesthetic and idea of this corner shelf, but the shelf itself leaves much to be desired. Once put together, it is a bit flimsy. Also, it is difficult to hold it flush to the wall to mark drill holes for installation. I found most of the spots I marked to drill for sheetrock screws did not line up when I went to physically mount the shelf. I’m leaving the shelf up for now, but jury is still out. Overall a bit disappointed with it. Perhaps once I fill it with books/decor it will grow on me.

Okay, these were a bit tough putting together as a one person job, but it can be done. I do recommend finding a second person to help you hang it. Though it seems tough, it needs at least two people to lift because I could feel it wanting to rip a bit. They look amazing in our corners to our bedroom! I love these pieces!
