i got it so i could put my new integrated amplifier under the computer monitor so the monitor was not sitting on the amp. There was ample room for the amp to stick out where the airvent was not being blocked.

The little stand is super stable and so very easy to put together. I’m using mine as a monitor stand. Adds so much space to my desk. I can put stuff under my stand.

Have a 8" wide monitor on a small desk, needed a riser...this is fine but it slides really easily %26 goes off the back of the desk....you have to find rubber /furniture/cane tips etc to try and make it more stable....you pay a lot just for stability....i ended w furniture "socks" made of plastic....rubber anything was more than what the cost of the shelf was....find a sweet handyperson to get creative %26 find some shoes for it...I did my best, but a smart energetic handyman will do it better

It was just what my husband needed for his Apple computer. Sturdy, lots of space and easy to build.

I use it for my laptop. I don't remember if the description mention a post in the middle back, but I removed it so my laptop would fit under it. I love the color and since I removed the middle post it works great for my laptop and my monitor on top.
