[Rewarded Review] Nice Unit
This portable air conditioner does a nice job cooling a larger than normal area. Quiet but powerful!
Operation friendly
Easy to operate and set up,
Still using it a year later..
Humid places will need to drain it. I live in the desert friend said there was nothing to drain.
Dead after 1 year. DO NOT BUY this JUNK
Just after a year purchase, I cleaned the vents and dried them. Then it started icing up in the back and spitting water out the vent. DO NOT BUY Freonic A/Cs! These are TRASH!
Worth every penny
Still early but this thing keeps my 100 degree garage in the 80s!
cool joe
Remote did not power up. Replacement remote received within 3 days, all is good.
The Listing Lies
The listing says that this is ventless, this is not. You have to vent this out the window.
I don't recommend for a bedroom.
It does make a lot of noise even on sleep function. It doesn't come with any hoses for drainage.
Dehumidify mode doesn't work well
I chose this because it said it works as a dehumidifier. But when in that mode, it's virtually impossible to drain. And I don't know whether it dehumidifies while in cooling mode.
Works well.
Just works fine. Might be a bit loud but heck if it cools that's all that counts. I can deal with it.
Very nice unit.
Very well packaged so this old lady could take it from the box pretty easily. Clear directions for set-up and operation. Cooled my 85 degree 25 x 25 room down to 74 in about an hour, and has worked flawlessly ever since. Even on cool-only it takes the humidity out of the air. Only had it for 10 days, but so far very nice. A little loud, but it is effective and fast, so I can overlook that. Batteries for the remote would have been nice, but that's just a trip to the store.
Unit good/Tube Bad
The tube is almost worthless I had to manipulate and cut it to get it to stay on
Redesign the exhaust hose connections
The exhaust hose does not connect well. It has to screw in at both connectors, and I spent about an hour trying to get it to stay in either end. The end that attaches to the unit kept blowing out while it was running. I finally had to wrap a couple layers of duct tape around it to keep it in place so the hot air wasn't just blowing back into the room. I'm using it to cool a room that's approximately 400sf, and it does ok. When set to 74ºF it manages to keep the room about 76ºF. The remote control for it can't display properly, it only shows a partial letter or number. They sent me a replacement and it does the same thing. I will say it made the room livable during the excessive heatwaves we just had here in the Portland, OR area.
Wear earplugs while sleeping
It works, it makes a difference in our attic bedroom which gets hot as you-know-where…but it’s loud. Over 60 decibels on cool mode. If you buy it for a bedroom I hope you’re a heavy sleeper, or you can sleep with earplugs.
[Rewarded Review] Cooler working garage
My work garage is way too hot in the Florida heat.
piece of crap
week late delivery...compressor rattles...sides are literally taped together...very poor
[Rewarded Review] Not compatible with all windows.
Unfortunately, this product can only be used on standard windows that can either be opened by raising or sliding. I have crank windows and is completely useless. Unless I missed something, there is no way to secure the “exhaust” pipe to a crank-style window. I’ve attached a pic of the directions that show the installation on a standard window. Says nothing about crank windows. If you have anything other than a raised/sliding window, this is not for you.
Big price tag for small effect
I've had this in the upstairs bedroom for the last two days trying to keep cool for the end of summer, but I really notice very little difference between the fan mode and AC mode. I hear the AC unit turn on, so I know it's functioning. This added with the fact that attaching the hosing was challenging because it kept collapsing, plus it's pretty loud, it just didn't meet my expectations.
[Rewarded Review] Poured water on floor.
The manual that came with the product had several grammatical errors. The manual included sketches of the parts. Some of the parts were mislabeled (ex. Exhaust Pipe Assembly and Window Sealing Plate Assembly). The sketches did not clearly show what was being described in the instructions.
[Rewarded Review] Works great!
Works and looks great. Cools down about half my house. Very quiet. Automatic louvers push air around the room. Three cooling speeds. Cools 450 square feet. It can be used as a dehumidifier. Capable of removing 80 pints per day. Energy saving mode is an option for when you're out. Programmable 24 hour on / off timer. Has sleep mode. 31" h ×19"w × 15" deep.
