Worked only one season

We used the dehumidifier to lower the humidity in our house to eliminate water condensation on the windows during the winter. It worked fine the first winter. When we plugged it in the next season, the fan worked, but it wouldn't dehumidify. We contacted Frigidaire who wouldn't fix it or replace it, because it was a couple of weeks past the one year warranty. No compensation at all on a $250 item. I wouldn't buy a Frigidaire product.

[Rewarded Review] Works like a champ

Title says it all. I needed a dehumidifier for my second home finished basement. It had to draw down the humidity in that area and I had to be able to manage it when I wasn't there. This model works great! It took care of the excess humidity, what it is supposed to do, and I can manage it remotely. It was easy to setup and is quite even running at full blast when compared to the previous unit... This is exactly what was advertised and a great unit.

[Rewarded Review] Very Nice Upgrade

I have always had a dehumidifier in my basement. My old unit was not working well and based on a Wirecutter review, I selected this. It's really a nice product. I have it draining into my sump hole so it runs unattended.

Faulty product - not worth the money

We bought this product 18 months ago, and it worked well for the first little while. Unfortunately, over the last month, it has started to leak (ruining our floors in the process) and is now displaying the EC error code. Frigidaire support has informed us that the machine is dead, and out of warranty (only 12 months), so we are essentially out of luck. Not what you would expect for a $500 machine...

[Rewarded Review] Warranty Replacement

First one same model purchased 6 months ago and had an “EC” failure. Electrolux warranty sent new one out in timely manner. New one is working so far. Like to Bluetooth feature but would really like to have one that lasts more than six months to a year. Dehumidifiers are notoriously unreliable.

[Rewarded Review] Replacement unit

This is a replacement for the first unit that failed after less than a year. It took from the first week of July to the first week of September dealing with the warranty replacement team. My impression was the Electrolux company makes replacement a chore in hopes that the customer will just give up. I have yet to hear if the extended warranty I paid for will be transferred to the replacement unit. Probably will have to make multiple calls. The replacement unit is quiet and works well.

Live and learn

Bought this just a year ago and now it has become an item for the curb. Soon before this became such I’ve was forming on the lower portion of the cooling fins. Shortly after that I got a CE fault code deemed not urgent just reset it did resolve further ice build up but dehumidification not! Now just a constantly run fan unit. If you need a fan buy a fan. If you need a dehumidifier that will last buy something other than this unit! If you do decide to buy this unit buy the extended warranty. This unit is not repairable it’s deemed replace only and when out of warranty it’s garbage!

[Rewarded Review] Great product, some nice improvements over previous Frigidaire 50 Pint that I replaced

I've been using this for a week. Not running it to a drain, but emptying the bucket. The redesigned bucket will be much easier to keep clean as the splash guard at top no longer requires removing screws. I originally had this set on Dry mode / 45%, but have changed to Auto. I'm not exactly sure what Auto does, but it cycles on/off throughout the day. It is quiet on low fan speed. It seems to move more air through it than the previous model. The app is interesting, I like that it keeps a history of the humidity level for hours/days/months. The notification of a full bucket on my phone is helpful. Check with your local electric company to see if they offer rebates on purchases of Energy Star Certified products. I was surprised I qualified for a $30 rebate.

[Rewarded Review] Must buy!

I recently purchased this as a standalone dehumidifier in my basement in a Midwest house. The humidity level before was around 80% down there, now it’s hovering around 45%. Being able to monitor/control it over the app is a super nice feature. This dehumidifier works crazy well, I’m really happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it. This is a set it and forget it device that works perfectly.

Did not perform as expected

This did not work out well for us at all. The water kept filling the bucket, needing to be emptied manually, instead of going through the hose we attached to make it empty into the drain in our basement floor. Frigidaire made it very difficult to get the unit replaced. They wanted us to prove somehow that it had not been damaged in transit. Eventually, after we jumped through enough hoops, they sent us a new unit. It had the same problem! Finally, we gave up and bought a different brand from a company that had been very dependable in the past. I would not recommend this product or the manufacturer.

[Rewarded Review] Frigidaire - 50 Pint Dehumidifier with WiFi

I ordered the Frigidaire - 50 Pint Dehumidifier with WiFi for a server room that was getting too much humidity in the summer months. I like the size and sturdiness of the unit. The controls are easy to use The app is the biggest let down. It took multiple tries to get connected on the Wi-Fi and to my app to work properly. The app should show what percentage of water the collection bucket has collected. Setting the target humidity only works in certain modes which is annoying. I should be able to set it in all the modes. The schedule feature looks nice although I haven't used it. The alerts are a bit wonky. You get the same alert if the bucket is removed or if the bucket is full of water. Overall I like the unit, the app needs more work.

Very Loud Compressor Noise - will not buy frigidaire again

This a warranty replacement after my previous one lasted 11 months and would ice up and not defrost. They gave me an upgraded model. It is the loudest dehumidifier I have ever had. The manual describes the loud chatter as normal for high efficiency compressors. Everything else works as designed.

[Rewarded Review] A Solid Unit

I have been running this new dehumidifier for 10 days now, and it has done an excellent job of bringing the relative humidity down from 75% to 45%-50% in my 800 sq ft. basement apartment. It is a bit louder than I'd have liked, but not obnoxiously so. Especially if it is set to the "quiet" setting. Wi-Fi was fairly easy to setup and works quite well to remotely monitor the device's operation. I've docked one star from the review for two reasons: one, it would be better if it were quieter. Two, I wish that all the settings from the Frigidaire app were also available in Google Home when the dehumidifier is imported into the latter, particularly the push notifications for the tank being full.

[Rewarded Review] Incredibly Helpful

I purchased this product after moving into a new apartment. I suffer from chronic migraines, triggered by many things including humidity. The humidity in my new apartment was averaging 70% and making it unable for me to live without pain. This product allows me to shut off the humidifier when I leave, and turn it on an hour or so before I got home, clearing the humidity and making my apartment the perfect conditions for me to live in. It is extremely easy to set up, and very easy to empty. The app allows you to turn the product on and off, or change the fan speed. I highly recommend this product!

Frigidaire dehumidifier - total waste of money!!

I bought two of these last year from Walmart. One lasted I think about 6 months (actual use), the other about 4 months. It quit even before the end of the season last year. The other one was used probably about a month this year. These were a total waste of a lot of money. I really do not understand a company selling stuff like this!!! Pretty sad.

Died As Soon As Warranty Ran Out

Worked for about a year. Then stopped dehumidifying. Fan would still run, but no water collecting. Customer service said it can’t be fixed and sent me a form to fill out to have it replaced. However, the result of that form was just to say the warranty had expired and there are no other options. My previous dehumidifier from a different brand lasted eight years! I can’t believe for the amount of money I paid for this that I only got one year out of this unit, and judging from the other reviews I’m not the only one. Frigidaire/Electrolux should stand by their products and offer a replacement of what’s clearly a faulty unit with something that will live up to the brand standard and honor the value of what they’re charging for it. This is a huge disappointment, not just with the product but with the company.

[Rewarded Review] Works well (don't use "auto" function)

The rating system only allows for whole numbers, but I give it 4.5 stars. I purchased this to replace a previous Frigidaire model that stopped working, but I had it for many years so it ran its course. This model has Wi-Fi and an app. It lets me set timers and so on, but really I was just interested in getting notifications that the tank was full. It does that. For some reason when I choose "auto", it just sits there and doesn't do anything, even after many hours. However if I just set it to the dry (always on) mode, it runs non-stop and I generally have to empty it twice-a-day, so it is really pulling a lot of water out of the air. So that is why I minus a half star. Overall It is a nice unit and it does what I need it to do. I purchased the 5-year extended warranty (just in case).

UNACCEPTABLE! Dead within 3 years!!!

This Frigidaire dehumidifier has 23 pages of serious complaints, with ONE STAR reviews. How is this even possible? I have only owned mine for a little over 3 years, It's only used in the basement of a vacation home, a couple months of the year, and it's already dead. This is completely outrageous!!! Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY this Frigidaire dehumidifier!!! I WILL NEVER TRUST FRIGIDAIRE AGAIN.

[Rewarded Review] Does a pretty good job overall and easy to set up and monitor

I am replacing a 7 year old LG 70 pint unit with which I never had any issues until it was not able to keep up with the humidity in the basement any longer. Without a dehumidifier, the basement runs at about 60% humidity level in the summer. I usually run the dehumidifier at 45% without any problems. With this unit it has been a challenge to keep the humidity consistently at 45% (it is generally showing 50%). My basement is about 1100 square feet and unfinished. The new unit has been in place now for about 2 weeks.

I got the WIFI capable model. You CAN reach it remotely via the app. The app tells you what state its in (if the bucket is fill, if its still running, what mode, etc). You can turn it off/on remotely (if the bucket is NOT full). But thats about it. (worth the extra $$ to me)
