The planks aren’t too good. Other than that good.

I ordered this months ago and was fairly happy with the drawers and such although both of the drawer fronts have loosened and one side has just completely come off. Our main issue is the boards cannot support my 250lbs boyfriend. We’ve had issues with the planks falling through on his side of the bed and we cannot put them back in place without taking the whole frame apart. The description says it can hold up to 500 pounds and my mattress can’t be more than 80lbs. I, myself weigh 140 but my side of the bed is just about perfect despite a few planks falling through when he sat on my side. So if you’re on the heavier side, be weary of the planks. I didn’t expect much of them since they’re bamboo. Our solution was buying sturdier boards to put in place across from his side to mine. We haven’t done that yet but if that doesn’t work we will be looking to buy a sturdier bed platform. To specify, if you’re on the lighter side I would absolutely recommend this bed. It helps keep any pets from getting under the bed too.

My 7th piece of funiture from Porch and Den

I always try to find furniture from Porch and Den, as I've had good experience with other pieces. I was looking for a basic platform bed with storage. I was surprised at how heavy the package was! All pieces were clearly marked which is extremely helpful. They included some extra screws, etc, which is very helpful if a screw rolls away. The hardest part for me was putting the storage drawers together so they matched up properly. They weren't exactly square. It would have been easier with another person to help. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase. It's a good buy, but it takes time to put together.

NO DHP PRODUCTS IN MY FUTURE!

Worst fitting, predrilled furniture I have ever purchased! They [DHP] should pay you to buy this! Most of the problems are the drawers. No holes. Holes drilled at an angle. Most frame problems are that you need too stand on your head while finding holes and then the holes don't always match. Definitely need to list a drill as a tool needed for assembly. I feel sorry for the person having too take it apart in the future. Best thing about it..... Doesn't look bad when finished. [If you don't throw it in the garbage first.] Walmart would be smart to find a different suppler.

Terrible quality

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 18 year old son. A couple of the wooden slats broke immediately. Called for replacement parts. Was told they were out of the parts. Three months later, still havent got the replacement parts and two or three MORE of the wooden slats have have broken. My son is well below the weight limit 5'7" 160 lbs and there was nothing done to cause these boards to break. The wood is cheap and thin. Great addition! Small issue resolved quickly and to my satisfaction, customer service fast and extremely helpful. I bought this for our bedroom. Teen daughter approved, now she wants one too. Easy instructions. Being an older female, I had zero problems putting this together by myself. Would buy another and definitely recommend to a friend.

Took a week to get here exactly. I'm an 18 year old girl and I put the whole thing together by myself, so it's pretty simple. You put everything together with an allen wrench but I do suggest a drill with the tiny screws for the drawers. Instead of the slats I used my box spring because I wasn't sure how sturdy they'd be. So far I love the bed and the drawers are huge. I was able to fit everything that was in my dresser into them.

This platform bed has deep roomy drawers that pull out easily - with the assist of small wheels at the bottom that support and to help them glide; a nice feature when you have a smaller room, and if you like to keep the linens right where you need them - in the bed. You will need clearance around the bed to open the drawers all of the way. The material is like a lightly padded faux leather. The style of the bed is low to the ground, no dusting needed under the bed!

Very well made bed. Straightforward assembly, though still took 2.5 hours with 2 people. Not sure how you would assemble without a power drill, even though you're not supposed to use one -- some of the angles are too tight for a hand & tool to wrench. Didn't realize when I ordered that it had a faux leather finish, but it really is subtle and adds nice texture to the room. Only gripe is that it didn't come with the instructions in the package, so we had to find them online. Luckily, found them pretty easily by Googling the product number. Overall, would recommend!
