Only Buy On Sale!

I’ve been eyeing this quilt for a while now so when I saw it on sale, I scooped it up so fast!! That said it being on sale makes up for the cons as I would NOT buy this at full price. I ultimately justified keeping it because it was 40% off and it is beautiful despite all the negatives. See cons pros below. CONS: Has inconsistent stitching (pointed out in photos). The very middle of the quilt is stitched incorrectly, so no matter how I put it on the bed it will always show. Very annoying and poor quality control on the brand. Other reviewers noted this so it seems to be common. It takes MULTIPLE rounds to dry the quilt since you cannot dry it on high heat. You need to factor in a whole day to dry it ngl. It does NOT wash well for the first time, it unravelled and left strings behind that I had to cut off. PROS: I have a 2 inch mattress topper and the normal size king quilt fits the bed perfectly to cover the mattress and the topper! It is extremely soft and the weight is perfect for all year. I live in Florida where the weather fluctuates from 80° to 60° to 40° and it has been great! The white color is also gorgeous because it’s more of a cream white than a bright white.

This item has been on my wishlist forever, I am so glad I finally purchased it. I got the white king. I have a platform bed with no boxspring and a thick mattress, the bottom hem hangs just above the floor the way I make the bed. The sides extend below the mattress, I am pleased with the size. I love that it’s a slightly heavier weight, I like a bit of weight while I’m sleeping. It has been so cozy - Its not sweat inducing or chilly - it’s a perfect balance of warmth. It washed great (may have shrunk in the dryer) but it did take several dry cycles to actually get dry in my home (non commercial) dryer. No pilling or excessive lint occurred when washing. I would definitely purchase this again.

Fades after first wash

I washed it before using it and the color faded and looks a bit distressed! Kinda bummed for the price as I expected it wouldn’t fade immediately!

Soft and washes well

For a linen quilt, this one is very soft. I washed it in my regular washer with no problems. I dried it on low and it did take multiple cycles to completely dry, but it held up completely fine.

My favorite quilt - just as described

Pros: It does feel almost weighted, but is breathable. I sleep hot, and can comfortably sleep with this and a top sheet with the ac set at 73. (I live in arizona). Any warmer and i would recommend a blanket. Cons: not really a con for this quilt but i notice all of the casaluna line has the same clay name on it but they are slightly different in color. I dont mind but it can throw someone’s monochrome look off if just going off the name.

Buyer beware.

I was so excited to buy this, wash, and put on my bed. To my dismay, the first wash and many of the threads were loose and pulled out on both sides. Will be taking back. Sorry for the fuzz, first wash fuzzies.

Comforter Review

I love these comforters. I have 2. I love the weight of them, like a light weighted blanket. The king plus is perfect too, I like the oversized look on my king bed.

King does NOT fit a king

I hate this quilt. It’s so small and makes me so mad every time I make the bed. We have a regular king and it hangs off the sides by 5 inches on each side. 5 inches isnt even the size of a mattress thickness. I rotate it every time thinking it’s the wrong way and it never gets better. You would think I purchased a queen. I’m not sure why no one is talking about the size. It does take several cycles to dry (so I take to laundry mat or hang dry after 2 at cycles at home). Beautiful color and quality but TERRIBLE SIZE.

Casaluna Linen Blend Quilt

This quilt is beautiful! I paired it with a Pottery Barn linen duvet. It washes well and looks very high end!!

King Plus size is actually wayyyyy too huge

I ordered the king plus size on recommendation of a friend who has that size for their king bed and loves this. My bed is standard king size (76 inches wide) and sits 2 ft above the floor. So a King plus size of 120 inches wide should skim the floor or hang just above it. I put it on the bed and the bed is SWIMMING in the comforter. It's like laying on the ground by 6 inches on each side. Its comically large and just doesn't look good at all, let alone is it practical. So confused, I took out the tape measure and remeasured my bed. My bed is the standard size, I didn't measure wrong. I then checked the tag and it says 120 inches wide. Math ain't mathing here. So we laid out the comforter and measured that directly and it's measuring 133 inches wide!! That's insane. That's over a foot wider than it's supposed to be!! And that explains the 6 inches or so of extra fabric on each side. Is this a mistake?? I couldn't find any other reviews that had this issue. Is it a quality control issue or are they really just this large? I was so worried about not having a wide enough king blanket and now I've got one that's wayyy too large. We'll have to return it. I did give it 2 stars because I love the color and the weight of it. I would think it'll be very comfy as like a weighted blanket but still seems breathable. But alas, we'll be returning. Hoping that if we get a new one, it's the right size and this is just a mistake.

I like it...

I really wanted to love this quilt as I had a comforter in the same brand that lasted a few years. Unfortunately, the hem started to come apart and that was super disappointing. I do love the weight…it sits well on the bed because of it. I’ll likely go back to the heavy weight comforter. I also wanted to mention that it discolors easily. Be sure not to use detergent with oxyclean to avoid discoloration to the fabric. Mine was a natural color and now has a slight yellowing due to my mistake.

Binding not sewn on correctly

The quilt was coming apart at the binding and I had to sew it back up. If you buy this check around the perimeter to make sure the binding is sewn on.

Absolutely the best!

This is hands down my favorite bedspread/blanket of all time. It isn’t hot, but it heavy and gives that weighted feel. We have 2 of them and I hope they keep making this because it is timeless and so cozy!

save you the trouble

stitching is all undone along the sides of the blanket- poor quality for the price. Blanket way too heavy to try and repackage and ship for return.

LOVE this quilt!

The best quilt/comforter I’ve ever owned.. it’s weighted so it feels so nice and comforting, to me it’s perfect for year round.. just the right thickness for hot and cold seasons (if you have central air in the summer). Love that it’s cotton and Okeo-Tex. The one and ONLY con is that this thing takes absolutely forever to dry and is incredibly heavy when washed/wet to switch to dryer, if not for that it would be 10/10 perfect.

Great comforter

Love this comforter, it’s a good weight (sort of feels like a very light weight weighted blanket) but also doesn’t overheat me. No complaints about it other than I noticed cat fur is really hard to get out of the fibers of the material, we had to take it to a dry cleaner, but other than that we really enjoy this!

Beautiful higb quality quilt

I love this quilt - it’s such a beautiful neutral brown that matches a lot. The quality is quite nice. I wash it often (monthly if not more) because of pet hair, and it’s held up to that and my cats’ occasional chasing of my feet under the blanket. It’s heavy and warm, but still breathable. My one complaint is that it takes like two to three dryer cycles to get all the way dry because it is so thick, but it’s worth it.

Pass

The quilt is really heavy and takes like 4 dryer cycles to dry. I also have the white one and it gets weird yellow stains after being washed. They come out with spray and reappear
