They sound a little like plastic.
Sensible choice for mattress pad
Washed with cold water and dried low setting. Came out in perfect condition. Fit mattress very well. Nice and soft. Looks well made. I would order again. Medium price range on Internet. Part on mattress is a high cotton percentage while part that goes around ides and clings seems to have synthetic materials for elastic and strength. We are very pleased.
