Excellent product, does exactly what it says it does

Extremely well built, and adds peace of mind while using my equipment with it. And while I was skeptical, it did actually lower the noise floor with the electrical filters advertised. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and well priced power conditioning solution.

I LOVE this little guy

I've been using this for almost 2 years OFTEN. I initially got it to help reduce interference in a poorly-wired house I was practicing at in a music project that I was in at the time. And boy did it help a ton. It's not a power conditioner. It doesn't do the same thing that a conditioner does. But that doesn't mean it's not a very effective tool for helping to lessen electrical interference. If you A/B this with a regular power strip, the difference might surprise you. And the added safety of keeping your pedalboard/synths/amp/whatever else protected from surges is worth the money. It's not CHEAP, but it's not terribly expensive for what it is. Consider it a similar investment to buying a case for your instrument. Oh, and the cord is LONG. Burdensome at times, and a godsend at others. The cord is thick, too. Maybe think about getting a real big velcro cable tie for the cord if you scoop one of these up.

Great product, robust

I wanted to purchase a power conditioner that would be reliable and protect my studio audio equipment. Furman is a well known brand for high quality power conditioners; this model is modestly priced by comparison to more advanced units - but is perfectly acceptable for most purposes..

[Rewarded Review] Peace of mind for expensive audio equipment

B&H had a substantially better price on this specific surge protector than anyone else so I was happy to buy it here. So far so good - has protected my audio equipment through some very odd brownouts & blackouts caused by storms in the area.

Silences the pedal hum

This turned out to be by far the simplest (and cheapest) way to silence the hum of my guitar pedals and synths. It’s the second one I bought and both are perfect. Built like a tank. 15’ cable, so you can put it anywhere. I’m pretty sure I’ll get another one at some point.

[Rewarded Review] Furman Pro plug 6-out

Item arrived quickly and as described. Works rather well as expected. My audio equipment are as quiet as my other more expensives $$. power plug(s). I expect it to last a long time. 4 stars because I know there are better power plugs, yet for the money this is a great buy.

So much more pro than your father's water strip

I've always dug Furman and had their power supplies in all my guitar rigs; A1 gigs in major properties in Vegas; sitting in the sand on a Hawaiian beach even, and I've not had one fail (except if you're a bit tipsy after the gig and forget to turn off the pull out lights before pushing them in, then look out, you've burned up a 4 watt bulb that will cost you a couple bucks at the hardware store!) Not quite as bad as blowing a tube in your Marshall!!

More confidence

I play a lot of gigs where the power outlets are not near where I setup. Then there's also the possibility of the power not being clean. I needed an extension that could cover a longer distance and gave me the confidence of a clean power source. This piece of gear has done that. The cord is one of the longest I've seen.

Heavy duty Powerstrip

If you are looking for a commercial grade power strip that is heavy duty and will take the abuse of stage use or heavy travel then this is the one. Furman makes excellent equipment that has never failed us. The metal case is great and the heavy duty plugs have lasted. Great Power block, look no further!! Buy this one, you won't be disappointed.

[Rewarded Review] Fine for the 60Hz power but ...

Remember that this item is not going to work outside of North America and Japan. If you're a filmmaker who travels, this multiplug is not for you. If you so much as plug it into a wall outlet in a 50Hz country it will instantly short out your power.

[Rewarded Review] Reduces EMI As Promised

I bought this because I had issues in my home studio with EMI introducing noise in certain recording situations. Namely, recording a Fender jazz bass (single coils) with a DI. The recording computer is the culprit. I shielded the bass, which helped, but not enough when using high-gain amp sim plugins.

[Rewarded Review] Hopefully preventing LIGHTNING loss

This purchase was driven by my desire to protect a valued stereo amp and related system components from a potential very powerful and fast as lightning electrical surge exceeding the strength of usual power surges from sources other than lightning. To my knowledge, nothing but Furman Pro offers any realistic potential for equipment protection against an instantaneous electrical surge powerful as lightning strike.

I play out. A lot. Last year I played over a hundred shows. That's considered a slow year for me. It's always very unlikely that most of the venues have decent, stable power. Always ground loop problems especially playing through multiple tube amps like I do.. Furman does exactly what it's supposed to do, protect your gear while reducing bad ground problems at bars and music venues. It works.

I've always used good quality surge protectors for my important electrical equipment. But in my tube amps I was getting a hiss. It wasn't so awful when I was sitting away, but close up, and especially when I mic'ed my amp it was bad. It could be anything, my fridge, record player, stereo, a fan. Some plugs are better than others, but I can only isolate so much. I was initially looking at a more expensive voltage regulator, but decided it might not be worth it to get perfection. Considering a voltage regulator is over 600, easy choice. I'm not running a recording studio. All my audio equipment, a stereo reciever, tape deck, record player, and two amps are hooked up to this. It reall ylowered it, tube amps always have a little bit of """"""""hiss"""""""", but now it's much harder to hear even when its mic'ed. I wasn't looking for perfect silence, just cleaner. Best, most useful piece of gear I bought for my audio equipment. Even my turn table (a repeat offender in the hum department) is noticeably quiter.

I was in the market for a new power strip with over AND undervoltage protection after finding out that most surge protectors only protect against overvoltages. I previously had bought a Tripp-Lite power strip because of all the rave 5-star reviews and did not trust my gut at first for an upgraded model of my existing Furman SS-6B. I notice very small details that are likely overlooked by most people and right away I noticed a faint buzzing coming from the brand-new Tripp-Lite I just bought! I hadn't realized it, but my old Furman SS-6B had no buzz at all. I guess it's acceptable to sell buzzing electronics, as long as most customers do not notice it...? After returning the Tripp-Lite strip, I went with my gut and bought this Furman SS-6B-PRO, plugged everything in and powered it on. I put my ear right up to it, about 1 inch away and ... Not a single sound could be heard! No buzzing, no clicking, no hum, exactly what I wanted. No indication of cheapo manufacturing either on the plugs, the metal case or the thick 14AWG mains cord. This thing is HEAVY, weighing 4lbs. If you need ACTUAL silence, as in, critical audiophile listening silence instead of """"""""mostly quiet, good enough for me, sports drowns it out anyway"""""""", this is the surge protector you are looking for. No compromises, just a solid metal surge protector that is actually silent. Isn't that what we all really want?

The EVS function of the unit (Extreme Voltage Shutoff) is vastly superior to the alternatives out there. Check youtube for videos showing the function of these devices. It's shocking what passes for a """"""""surge protector."""""""" EVS actually detaches the devices from the over voltage source. This is my third Furman and I will be back for more. My Furman PL rack mount unit already saved me from an over voltage at a large apartment building. This thing is dirt cheap in comparison and has the same technology. It's a no brainer.

Furman SS-6B 2-Pack

The product is very good, The deal was excellent. The packing of the product was not good. Both units came in an envelope through UPS. UPS does not handle musical equipment very well. The product boxes were not in good shape, but luckily the furmans were. I am already using one of the power strips and it works great. I have not tried the other one, but I think that it should. I would recommend better packing when using UPS, I was actually at my front door when the UPS person tossed the products on my porch.
