Not 12.5 gauge

I bought 23 rolls of the 5ft fencing during a "deal of the day" sale online. The rolls were wrapped in cardboard that said 12.5 gauge. Once I got home I unwrapped one of the rolls and noticed that the wire felt flimsy and thin. Measuring the wire with calipers I determined that the wire diameter was at a maximum of .086 in diameter which is closer to 14ga (.080) not 12.5ga (0.99). Several of the weld points had already separated. Now I have to return 23 rolls of flimsy undersized fence.

The packaging it came in was completely destroyed after it was sent all over the West Coast through our town twice before actually getting here Days late. The product itself was dented, but as it had been so late, I needed the product without time to wait for another shipment to come in. Not impressed.

The fence is difficult to manipulate. When trying to pull to tighten it against 4x4 post spread 10 feet apart, whether long or short sections, the fence didn’t flatten as it should. Using an air gun and staples to secure did work well on most areas. The inner end of the roll was also useless, as it was too misshaped to use.

Best fencing product I have found and fair price.

Exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find elsewhere. Heavy gauge welded joints and the right height. I built a fence around our vegetable garden to keep the deer and such out and it is perfect for the job. Will buy again in the future.

It is not too hard to cut with small wire cutters and ordinary pliers work well to secure sections. It has been stapled to trees and 10 foot posts that go 2-3 ft in ground around 3 acres and it is not at all obtrusive .
