Unplayable
The idea of this game is great but the product is unplayable unfortunately. The lower jaw does not remain in place when you have to manipulate the upper jaw to reset the game. You essentially have to fix the toy after every attempt to sink your putt- and that’s even when you just barely touch the gator. Very frustrating game that playing with a toddler is near impossible. The putter is fine- I have no issue with that- although it could be a little taller with the option to shorten it. The number scoring birds idea is a good idea but you can’t see the numbers very well bc they’re green on the gator and finally if you try to change the score on them there goes the lower jaw disconnecting again. Overall a disappointing product that has room for improvement:(
Do not buy.
In the 90’s the gator used to spin around and launch the ball with force, now it’s some cheap batteryless thin plastic piece of junk where the mouth falls of constantly and the ball fails to return 9 times out of 10. The club is some cheap hollow piece of plastic. We’ve really gone downhill as a country, all the toys are trash now even the turtle sandbox is a like 20% smaller than it used to be.
Shameful!!
I can not believe they actually allowed someone wo bring this back in this shape %26 to put it back on the shelf @ a price like this anyways. When my grandaughter opened it this morning we found half of the golf clup, half of the gator head %26 a plastic Easter egg. I was in shock they even put this back out or would all for it to be returned. I ended up ordering another one for my grandbabies because they we so ready to play.
Kids game
We have enjoyed playing this game especially after seeing all the commercials for it. Only downside is there is only one putter so the kids can easily fight over it. Two would be perfect!
Worth it!
The bad reviews scared me for no reason! Got this for our 5 year old nephew as a Christmas gift and he loved it! No missing pieces or damage like the other reviews all say, easy to assemble the golf club (no other assembly at all), and yes you’ll have to open the gator’s mouth after each putt that goes in - but how often is the kid getting every single ball in lol and you’re not playing this game all day long, not enough for it to be an inconvenience. Our nephew immediately learned to reset the mouth open when needed. Other 5’5” adults in the room played too!
Great fun with the kiddos
This was an excellent birthday present! The 4yr old loved it and he has a ton of fun playing it with his 2yr old brother. It is a really good gift that allows adults to play with your kids and is fun for the whole family.
Fun cute game!
I purchased this for a six year old boy's birthday and he was thrilled to get it. He said he had been wanting this exact thing. It appears to be a really cute toy and I think he will get hours %26 hours of fun out of it.
Fun game for all ages!
My niece wanted this game for her birthday so her Aunt came through! She was so excited to get this. It is so much fun for all ages. We all had a blast playing it for a bit during her party. Simple enough to use. I wish I took some pictures during her party so you could see for yourself. I ordered this and it shipped extremely quick and was well packaged. I totally recommend!
Fun Indoor Putter Practice
This putter game is so much fun!! The kids loved being able to practice their putting anytime, anywhere! They thought it was really fun that the gator kicks the ball back to you after you make the putt!!
Gator Golf for a 3 year old!
My granddaughter really enjoys it. She thinks it's so much fun how it spits the ball back out of its tail. It is also teaching her hand eye coordination. Great product.
Great commercial on TV promoting product.
This was bought as a Christmas gift for my grandson. Whenever he goes to his Grandfather’s office, they play with his putting practice golf set. It is too big for him. Think this will be an enjoyable, size appropriate game for him to play.
[Rewarded Review] such fun
My grandchildren, 2-3-4 years old, all love this game. Only complaint is that the mouth doesn't snap in, just sits into little slot..... so constantly fixing bottom mouth. I will probably end up super gluing this part on. Other than that, it is great. Better yet, no batteries needed!
Nice game for toddlers
This is a cute game for a toddler who is practicing to be a future a Tiger Woods. The club is short so it’s probably most suited for a 3-5 year old. The game is simple - hit the ball inside the gator’s mouth. One con for this game is the mouth falls off quite a bit when the ball hits it so you have to keep fitting it back on. Outside of that, it’s a fun and challenging game for the little ones.
Poorly made and does not consistently work
Maybe one star but really don’t buy this toy. The golf ball does not always travel to the back of the alligator’s mouth to be “popped” automatically out the back. Even when an adult hits the ball the game only works 1 in 3 or 4 tries. Very frustrating for my advanced 4 year old. You can find better toys. This will be returned to the store.
Not what it used to be
Having grown up with the original gator golf and purchasing this ‘re-released’ version for my own child many years later....this version is a hunk-o-junk! It’s much more flimsy and will definitely not withstand the terror a 4 year old will put it through. This only comes with 1 clunky flamingo club (the original came with 2 clubs that were closer to mini golf style clubs). This isn’t electronic so it no longer spins around or moves the way the original did. I would call this ‘gator golf lite’.......at best. I give it a couple weeks before this flimsy plastic breaks.
[Rewarded Review] Fun!
Gator Golf is a fun game for kids ages 3 and up. 2 to 4 players. Mini golf game. Flamingo golf club. Built in score keepers. 4 gator golf balls. Tail flipping action. It’s easy to play- aim, putt, and score. When you score the gator tosses the ball back to you with its tail. Makes the kids laugh every time. Keeps them entertained for hours. I’d definitely recommend this game. Makes a perfect gift!
Fun for our family game nights
This is a very fun game. We have family game night on Sundays and my daughters loved playing Gator Golf. It allowed my three-year-old and eight-year-old to be active. We had a lot of laughs and my three-year-old wanted to keep playing throughout the day. The game is easy to play and set up. I like that we were all able to have our own color ball. I love how the tail throws the ball back once you've scored.
[Rewarded Review] Quick and fun game for small and big kids
I received the game Gator Golf by Goliath Games for an unbiased review. This is a cute game that can be played by little or big kids and with families. There isn’t too much to this game, so it’s easy for little kids to understand the rules. It can be played up to three points so if you are playing with your child it’s a short game to play that doesn’t take much time to enjoy. It won’t hold you down for a long length of time. It’s easy for kids to count points because the birds on top of the gator can be turned each time a point is made, from 0 to 1 to 2 to 3; however, the numbers are small. The gator is about a foot long from front to back. The gator is bright and colorful as well. This game comes with four plastic golf-like balls, each in a different color. One plastic short club comes with the game in the color red. Kids can also change the difficulty of the game by changing their position or length away from the gator. You could even try to make a fun putt putt trail towards the gator’s mouth. When you putt the ball into the gator’s mouth it’s tail shoots the ball up and over the gator back towards you which is great to proceed with the game without having to get the ball from the gator each time. It spits it out a foot or two away from the gators mouth. You then have to open the gators mouth back up to get it ready for the next putt. I would recommend this game for toddlers and up. It creates good hand eye coordination and is a fun and quick game for family play.
[Rewarded Review] Goliath Games - Gator Golf
The kids and I love this game. I love getting them off the tv and playing video games! It is a lot of fun for the entire family, not just kids. The kids just LOVE it when the ball goes into his mouth and pops back out, my 4 year old granddaughter just laughs when it pops out! You never know where it will go. I do recommend playing it on carpet for the smaller kids as it is hard to get it to go into the gators mouth for them on floors without carpeting to slow it down a bit. So when I play with my older grandson, he is 8 we play on the floor without carpet so it is a bit more challenging. The ball goes a lot faster then and you really got to take the time to set up the shot. It has really great colors and I noticed one review said he had trouble with the bottom of the mouth coming off all the time. We have not had that trouble so that is great. The price is right too! I recommend this game to any family and whoever wants to break their kids free from the tv! As I said, it is a lot of fun for entire family!
[Rewarded Review] Cute Game
My 4 year old daughter really likes this game. Simple to set up and use. She loves how the balls fly out of the alligator. She had some trouble with aiming the balls ,so at first she just had fun throwing them in his mouth and watching them fly back out. But then my husband showed her the right way to hold the golf club and she really got the hang of it. The only thing I don't like is sometimes the bottom of the mouth will fall off when opening the mouth. But that is an easy fix and doesn't take away the fun of the game.
