Stay away from this remote!!

This is my second purchase of this remote. The first one lasted about 6 months and them about a third of the buttons stopped working completely. I purchased a replacement since it was inexpensive and the replacement isn't working from the start!! What a waste of money. Two remotes in a 7-month period and neither are working!! Stay away!!

Great Inexpensive Universal Remoter

My new LG TV remote is not backlit. Nor would it control the external speakers. This remote was inexpensive and easy to program. I cannot get the "app" or the colored (A, B, C, D) buttons to work though. Nothing in the owners manual to explain how to do that either.

Great remote

I give it 5 stars. I bought 2 of them and my wife loves them also. I haven't found how to skip thru chapters on a dvd but everything else is perfect. Backlit feature is very helpful too.

Not So Great

I bought this remote not even a month ago and it has already quit working! I purchased new batteries and tried all the codes, and it would not work. A waste!

Well designed but....

It's designed properly with the most frequently used buttons at the top. Most TV manufacturers remotes put the streaming buttons at the bottom where you have to operate it using both hands. The one major drawback to this remote is when you're streaming it doesn't have a back button. When you're streaming and you hit last channel return it will dump you back to the last input you were watching. Because of this I had to just throw it away.

Great simple remote

Our remote on our television went out and we were pleased we could get a replacement at a reasonable price. Very simple process with putting in codes and worked quickly. The directions are very complete with the type of tv and codes to input.

Replacement Remote

I got this to replace the original remotes for my tv and DVD player. It was very easy to progam. The first number worked for both devises. I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the functions of the buttons. I thought I was going to have to keep using my DVD remote to open it but turns out there's a button to do that. It isn't clearly marked though. The one annoyance I had was the fact it doesn't come with batteries. Every remote I have bought has but not this one. If you buy this make sure you have AA batteries on hand. Overall a good remote that is worth the money.

Worked for my vizio TV. But couldn't find a code to work well with my Yamaha amp.

This is an awesome remote

This was sooooooo easy to program. Didn't have any problems with it at all. It is controlling our TV, soundbar, and blu ray player. A cool feature is that I was able to easily program it so that when it is in TV mode, it will control the soundbar without switching back and forth - genius! The only down side is that it will not control our Roku stick, which I expected anyway. Roku sticks, Fire sticks, etc will not be controlled by this remote because they receive radio transmissions and the remote is sending in infrared.

Brightly lit, but...

I really like the LED blue back lighting on this remote. Every button gets illuminated. The only downside to this remote is that it doesn't have a PIP (picture in picture) button and the volume button has to be pressed over and over to get the volume to change more than one increment. You can't just hold down the volume buttons to get the volume to continue increasing/decreasing. Strange because I've not had this problem with any other remote.

Works with Charter.
